OK Guys, here is my 1st successful Blu-Ray project: The Star Trek Type 1 Hand Phaser featuring a 12x BDR-S06J Laser Diode powered buy a Flexdrive running at 575mA and putting out Approx. 700mW. Power source is a Lithium Ion Re-chargeable 14250 battery. I must say that I was really suprised and impressed as to the output and beam quaility of this Laser. 405nm really is the best burner. It will pop a black ballon at 50' in less than 5 seconds and instantly at 20'. I really enjoy using this one!

That is very cool looking! I love the old style.."remote control" Star Trek phasers.

Do you have any pictures of the insides?

The diode is mounted in an Aixiz Module an Heat sinked with about 5-6 wraps of Heavy Copper foil attached with Artic Thermal Adhesive. The Module is "sandwiched" between several vertical & horizontal pieces of double-sided tape. The laser is wired thru the stock switch. The battery compartment was modified to fit the larger 14250 Lithium Ion.
-Sorry, no pics of the inside at this time.
