There are thundershowers predicted for Southern California tonight.

You know what that means?

That's right.

Humidity

I'm predicting a 100% chance of 180mW 405nm beams reaching into the sky tonight

With a good chance of 30mW 488nm along with them.

Peace,
dave

I'm predicting a catastrophic lightning strike resulting in the violent liberation of previously captive argon. I'm just pessimistic like that

Maaaaybeeeee . . . . . .

But that would be awfully cool to see, wouldn't it?

Peace,

My lasers help illustrate to me just how dusty my house is and why my computer fan filters are always clogged.

Hey dave, any tricks on making it easier to enjoy argons outdoors? I shine mine out of my bedroom window, but damn is it bulky! I guess there is no easy way to do it. I was hoping you would have some sort of anti-gravity trick for me ;D (maybe the frog burial might help in this situation? It has to be good fertilizer for your lawn at this point...)

The secret words for today are:

"front surface mirrors" (or first surface mirrors)

Take your light wherever you want (within reason)

Oh yeah . . . . Lasers in a rainstorm are awesome! :o

Gooey - contact Sam (From Sam's Laser FAQ's....)...he has the fiber attachment for our ML40's he is looking to get offers on :) I am not at the point where I can adequately send an offer that would not most likely offend him (if that is even remotely possible !) but you may be - so GO FOR IT ! That gives you a flexible, pointable source for your Argon :) WOOO HOOO !

That would be cool!

However, you don't get to do this with fiber optics

Then you can relax a bit, because that 405nm picture happens to be 488nm
