My good buddy Mike and I recently bought stun guns for t3h lulz. Here's the LINK. The seller, Laurie, was very helpful in answering our questions before we bought, as well as answered them in a quick, prompt manner.

They have a special that if you buy 2, you get bumped up to priority shipping for free, and also receive a small keychain canister of pepper spray for free as well. Ordered Sunday, they arrived today (wednesday).

The stun gun itself is fairly nice. Small, slim, and sleek. According to the auction, it is 4 5/8" tall, 1 3/4" wide and 7/8" thick. Comes in a nice little leather case with belt loop.

It has an ON switch near the bottom, and also an ON LED near the top. Then it has 2 buttons: 1 for the STUNNER and one for the LED flashlight. The flashlight is decent enough to be able to find something in the dark, but nothing too fancy.

It has a rechargeable battery. Comes with a cable that plugs into a 110v wall outlet and directly into the bottom of the stun gun. Also an LED on the bottom to indicate charging.

All-in-all this stun gun is pretty badass. It packs quite a punch! I shocked myself a few times already (as you see in the video, lol). Very satisfied with this purchase!

Yes! win!
I shall be getting mine from you on friday! the wait is so HORRID!
For only $20 this thing will be awesome.
GooeyGus should get one too, and the three of us will have a STUN GUN BATTLE.

(I have a feeling this thread will turn into a weapons and self defense thread)

STUN GUNS , STUN GUNS !?!?! WE don't need no stinking stun guns !

Well GG doesn't anyway, he has an 8W argon laser :D

ya know the voltage isnt' what is important for a stun gun. Current is.

they even say it in the auction yet don't mention what the amperage is...

It's the Amps Not Voltage that Hurts!!

...Most Amps for the $$$$$

Oh and laserbee, if you really want a few of these, I'd be happy to include them with your Kenometer.

Yes, but won't more volts deliver it quicker? I read that these are typically 3-6mA.

Honestly, I've never once seen an indication of current from a stungun. So who knows. I DO know that it's not the voltage that is really all that important when it comes to "stunning" Still, how can you "verify" that the voltage is 1.7 Million and not 50,000?

I was wondering how it could be measured as well. It works, however, and WELL at that. If you watched the video of me shocking my arm, you'll see that 1 short jolt is fairly tolerable (it's not exactly pleasant though). At the end of the video, I get about 4-5 pulses into me. THAT hurt. I've tried enduring it for a long amount of time, but I can only bear about half a second lol. I am confident in its abilities;)

On some of the lower rated stun guns it says that 2-3 or 3-4 seconds of being stunned you lose muscle control and fall to the ground. So imagine how this would be with 1.7 million Volts?

well apparently it's amps that KILL, and voltage that just makes your muscles spasm. If you managed to modify a stun gun to discharge a bunch of amps you'd probably stop your victim's heart!

I highly doubt that it is putting out 1.7 million Volts... the electrical
insulation required to protect you while pressing the power button
would be way too thick...

IIRC it takes 1000 Volts to jump a distance of about 1/8 inch in free air..
that means at 1.7MV the spark has the potential to jump about 17 feet...

Someone correct me if I've made a mistake in my assumptions/calculations

I could see 170,000 volts (maybe) that would be about 1.7 feet.

Well, that would mean that almost EVERY stun gun out there is a lie  which surely isn't the case :p

It's hard to say, but if 170,000 volts is 1.7 feet.. well...
stun guns come in different voltages. Usually the least is 200,000 V.

but like humansymphony said, EVERY stun gun would be a lie lol. All of the ones avaible are atleast 200,000 V, but usually more.

I replaced the LED in my stun gun with an emitter from an MXDL. It's like 10 times brighter, but it ate up the battery in just a few minutes lol. It's a win-fail situation.

Quite a significant difference. Also here's a video
