hey guys
first review here!
after getting an arctic, i found this form way too late, and realized that i could have saved myself money AND got a sturdy, better laser!
I messaged JAKEGT a few questions and he helped increase my knowledge 10 fold within one night. he offered to build me a high-power 445nm after my initial attempt to buy his SAIK off him failed (i can see why) after talking a bit more, he decided to sell it to me. we did a quick bank transfer.
the unit PLUS a 26650 battery (a 20.00 battery he gave me for 15.00) on top of OVERNIGHT INSURED shipping was $330.00. Jake admitted and told me I was overpaying but I was alright in doing so because I just loved the damn thing. Still, to me, its a great deal.
the unit consists of:
Mohrenberg Saik Kit + heatsink
Dual flex drives set to 1.8A combined
Dtr a-140 diode
1x26650 battery
aixiz 405/445 glass lens doing 1,740mW peak
Will edit when i test 405-g-1 jayrob lens
the deal was struck on a tuesday, shipped on a wed and by thursday i had this baby in my hand bright and early. it was packaged nicely and wrapped in a ton of bubble wrap. so much bubble wrap that i thought it was quite humorous.
the build was beautiful and sturdy. small and powerful. i love thick heavy builds that are not overbearing to hold but just very industrial-like. you can tell a lot of time went into making sure that nothing shook or clinked at any hint of movement. the pot was spotless and one 26650 battery fit perfectly inside with no movement.
the back clicky switch is probably my favorite part about this unit. most of these builds have a button or switch on the actually cylindrical part of the body. not this small cannon. she prefers to be turned on, from behind (like most wonderful women)
and now to the pictures. please understand that these are regular 720p pictures taken with my iphone (edited down of course to 720x544) and the beams are in no way altered
ill edited with some burning .avi files in a bit!
