Re: 1.4W-2.5W Blue-Ice Lasers $125 shipped (Now available as $50 JAD KIT)

I know I am wearing safety sunglass goggles when I do that I was also able to light the newspaper in my barbecue and cooked a nice steak so by association I cooked a steak with this laser. :D

PS ApexProxy PM me how to mod a 1Mw laser into a burner thanks

I too have lit a cigarette with ease using my Blue Ice. Just make sure you wear goggles when you do things like that. The light is so many times brighter than your eyes register that it may not seem beyond extremely bright but it really is.

I hope by "safety sunglass goggles" you mean goggles designed to specifically block 445nm light... conventional sunglasses are not the same. Not by a long shot.

The thing in my signature is a joke. Read the quote below it :p

I'm getting some legit glass goggles, I work for the largest safety only company in the US, so I can get some legit deals, I might arrange some type of group buy if I can get enough people that would want really good goggles...

They are sunglasses that are designed to be used in low level welding are those sufficient or should I get a different kind
Thank You

NO they are not sufficient. You need glasses or goggles specifically designed to block the particular wavelength. Check out survival lasers.

Survival Lasers offers some great goggles. I have found some that are extremely cheap that block 445nm light almost entirely. I have a link in my signature if you are interested.

My laser arrived today! Just waiting on the batteries to charge to test it out.

EDIT: Absolutely brilliant.

Nice! Looks like it may need to be focussed.

It is actually focused down to a tiny dot. The combination of a white wall in a slightly dark room with a cell phone camera just blew it out of proportion.

I think this is the first laser I've ever bought that completely met all my expectations. Thanks again.

Hmm... it appears that a single 18650 is not enough to power it at all.

EDIT: Nevermind. It appears it doesn't work with one 18650 in particular. It works fine with my other one. Not sure why as they're both charged (~4.15v) according to my multimeter.

This is the finest Laser I have ever bought as well OMG this was
1. Well worth the price
2. Well worth the time it took to ship
3. Shipped out fast
4. Built solid

My only gripe it that I have a diffuser for a green laser that I over speced but the diffuser will not fit the focusing end but hey as far as raw power nice bright beam and the ability to focus the beam no matter how far away this is the best laser I have ever used it is better than my arctic and one million times better than my cheap Chinese green laser.

PS Does anyone know if there are any red diodes or modules that will work better than the DVD burner one I made and put into a pen housing, or if there are any boards, or drivers, that will give the DVD burner diode pen I built more power. If so please PM me Thank You

Nice beams! it was so foggy last night i had to go out and shoot the clouds.
WORKED LIKE A CHARM! (they must have been really low clouds)

I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of diffraction attachments work for this focus adapter? any help would be most appreciated.
