1-2W green laser?

True that, never thought of it, I haven't used them yet.
how efficient are they?

not as efficient as buck but pretty darn stable and most have modes :D

Yup, linears would work also but I'm a bucking driver fan. It all goes down to what you prefer and what you can afford. So far X-Drives are my favorite due to their efficiency, size, price, availability, and build quality.

You know if you are just looking to build a fun laser; Consider that Green is the most visible color to the Human eye. It is 10-20x more visible than some of the other laser colors. That means you can build a relatively low power one (BUT STILL DANGEROUS SO KEEP IT AWAY FROM EYES) and still be amazed at how bright it is. Even a 5mW green laser looks exceptionally bright. If you insist on making what you want instead... no one can stop you. So I can only suggest that you read safety, read instructions, talk to members with experience, read safety again, read your countries laws that send you to a federal pound me in the butt prison for hitting an airplane, and read safety again. If its not worth taking your time, its not worth doing.

Nice but nearly impossible i was dreaming of a cheap 1W 532nm too but it can't be done so easily...

Thanks, I already got plenty of green lasers like 70mW, I was thinking of building a 1-2W green, spotting my skywalker was just an excuse to be honest (shy face).

I been looking for the crystals for a 1-2W green they are quiet expensive. A crystal for a 50mW green was $20! :O I sell 70mW greens cheaper than that. Lmao
I am still researching! lets see what happens
