1-1.3 watt 445nm Laser Packages **ONLY $190 SHIPPED IN THE US**

Re: 1-1.3 watt 445nm Laser Package **ONLY $190 SHIPPED IN THE US**

While a 2W is interesting, and there is little doubt I'll get it, I'd love to see a good 532nm instead. For the ultimate signal beam :)

are you still selling these? If so i'll DEFFINATLY cancel my artic order. i mostly wanted it for the host. But since this is focasable, and about twice as powerfull. I'd definatly be interested. The size is a plus!

Still available. :) More versatile battery options too.

:bowdown:WOW! That is so awesome! Lol, I just got my L2 for NAR a few weeks ago on an Aerotech J-350 Whitesmoke. Put it in my newly built Loc Precision Warlock. That is sooo sweet!

Congrats on your L2! I certified on the J350W as well...

Okay guys, got mine in today and set it up fairly easily. This thing ROCKS! All of my parts were shipped unharmed and this thing is bright!

Now I am new to this community and lasers as a hobby so I have a couple questions.

Are there any simple guides on focusing the lens for different ranges?

Smaller dot = more heat correct? If so I'm having trouble getting a few things like plastic to burn (matches are instant tho)

And where can I get some sort of poster that glows in the dark to draw on with this?

Thanks again Garoq, you saved me TONS of time and money.

Thanks, glad you like it! Yes, the smaller the dot the greater the burning power. Once the laser is focused for infinity, unscrewing the lens from the module will focus the beam to a point at closer distances. You just have to experiment with it.

I do not know where you can get GITD posters.

Is there a small guide somewhere on how to focus the lens for infinity?

Put on your laser safety goggles, point the laser at a wall about 20-30 feet away and adjust the lens until the dot is as small as possible.

You just need to experiment with it. Not sure why people like to say that "focus to infinity" focus the beam to the way you like it and leave it there...

Okay well that's what I've been doing. I guess the dot obviously gets naturally bigger the further it travels! Thanks again this thing rocks.

Does the battery extension provide the same amount of power with a longer life?

That always confused me as well. I never found any guides or information either. For some reason focusing a laser wasn't intuitive for me.

I eventually just focused mine so that the best spot for burning was about 5 - 6 feet away. Of course I also never turn it on in the house. (Not until I have something safe to use as a beam stop.

I know it's been said over and over but I think it deserves to be said again for all the new laser owners (which I still am) in this thread. ALWAYS use the correct goggles with this laser. It's not worth losing your vision over.

Exactly... I really should order one myself. Amazing how fast a 1W laser eats a battery.

Yeah I am just now fully charging the two batteries for the first time. And they've been on there for 30 minutes already still no green light. I bet I haven't even come close to full potential yet!!:drool:

The Juice batteries are shipped from the manufacturer with very little charge in them (only enough to test if they will accept a charge) so they can take a couple hours in the charger.

Still waiting for mine to come ..
And also, how big is the dot at 15 feet away?
