1-1.3 Watt 445nm Host Ass'ys w/Driver and Heat Sink ONLY $50!!

Re: FS: 1-1.2 Watt 445nm Laser Host Ass'ys w/Driver and Heat Sink Only $50

Would it be possible to buy just a holster? I saw them on your site and I almost want to get one, Do they clip on to a belt or something or just something to hold the laser.

Im also interested in getting some of that rocket propellant for laser tests, that video was really cool. Ill probably wait to order anything until after my Christmas break until I get back to my college town

Sure...yes they have a belt loop and a 'D' ring, and hold the laser perfectly.

If you let me know in advance we can mail the propellant and holster together and save on the shipping cost. :D

Hey Garoq got the kit today and it works great with the diode i got from DTR.I was wondering is it ok to run with 2 AW 750mah ICR123 rechargeables with a 8.4 volt fresh charge level?Currently i have run it with 2 RL123A 3 volt batteries for output and a AW 2900mah 18650 for just messing around and its still pretty powerful. Will the output level increase with the 750mah batts at 8.4 volts? Thanks.

Just got home to find my host waiting for me, Now I really want to finish it up and see how it looks.

Maybe its just that this is my first home built laser but this host looks so much cooler in my hand than the pictures that Garoq has up.

plus rep to you Garoq, and I'll get back to you on ordering some propellant and a holster later after my Christmas break.

I was wondering the same question, are the recommended batteries the 3.7v cr123a or the 3.0v cr 123a, I have some 3.0v ones I tossed in mine for now (just built it, FREAKING SWEET) but if you recomend 2x 3.7v Ill totally order some right now.

That's great to hear! Yes, it will run just fine with primary (disposable) Lithiums, the Tenergy 3V LiFePO4s, "fully-caffeinated" rechargeable RCR123As as well as a single 18650 for reduced output power as you noted. I have only noticed a very marginal power output increase with the RCR123As, but it could have been a statistical variation or temperature-related effect. Some scientific testing would be in order.

We ship 3.6V RCR123As with the Survival Laser bundles, they work just fine along with the 3V disposables and LiFePO4s.

Nice to hear the tenergy 3v work since thats what i have lying around for use in my e-cig mod. On a side note, built the laser about 20 mins ago and its freaking awesome. May be the fact its my first 445nm build but its nuts, also your safety glasses work great.

Re: FS: 1-1.2 Watt 445nm Laser Host Ass'ys w/Driver and Heat Sink Only $50

I was looking at dealextreme and it seems that there are some of these aurora lights that come with an extension tube. If so I could get one and run off of 2x 18650 batterys and get some long run times without swapping batteries. It seems my 3v batterys are only good for maybe 20-30 mins of use before suddenly dropping output to damned near nothing. Im sure some 3.7 cr123a's would help but the life of 18650s cant be beat.

That's a good idea, I'll ask the manufacturer if they can supply them.

Re: FS: 1-1.2 Watt 445nm Laser Host Ass'ys w/Driver and Heat Sink Only $50

If you can get them I would totally pay like $10-$15 for one. Im scouring DX trying to find a light that comes with one that might be the same threading.

Stand by, hopefully I'll have an answer sometime next week.
