Questions about operating principle of show lasers

If I go this route, how do I make sure the galvo signals are +5/-5v output and max, and for the rgb outputs how would I make it so that the outputs are 0 to 5v max? Is there a software that can output all of this through the sound card?

Questions about operating principle of show lasers

This was very helpful, thanks! You cleared up the confusion for me about the signals. How does the dac output both of the signals at the same time? Is there one singular output that has both the galvo and color controls, or does it output two signals? And I’ve looked at the optlaser drivers...

Questions about operating principle of show lasers

I'm currently trying to build myself, eventually, an rgb show laser. Currently I've completed an rgb laser module, which at this point I've been using a triple output power supply to control each of the laser diodes, I'm still looking for analog drivers that can do 1.5A. After I get the drivers...

Driver for an RGB laser, optlasers schematics?

I'm wanting to use a 12v power supply, so Ideally each analog driver takes 12v in, and uses a 0-5v modulated analog signal from a micro controller. And by using a power transistor and resistor, do you mean using a mosfet to control a driver output to the laser diode, or do you mean using the...

Driver for an RGB laser, optlasers schematics?

I'm trying to build an rgb laser, with a Sharp GH0637AA2G, NICHIA NDB7875, and a Sharp 5GH05C01A9G. I'm having trouble finding analog controlled drivers for these diodes, and analog control is a must for an rgb laser. I found the optlasers analog drivers such as the LPLDD-5A-12V (single channel)...

How to drive 60W laser array, and make dummy load.

I thought the lm338 could only output 32V? Wouldn’t that only be enough to power one channel?

How to drive 60W laser array, and make dummy load.

I got my hands on a 60W OSRAM 450nm laser diode array. The package has 4 channels, each with 5 diodes in series. The operating current of each channel is 2A. What's the easiest way to power this? Is there any good constant current drivers that can output 100V+ at 2A? Or would it be easier to use...

Exceeding maximum current of Sharp diode

I recently bought a sharp gh05c01a9g 520nm diode on eBay for $18. I am going to order the host bundle from survival lasers, and I am not sure if I should use 1.5a or 1.8a. The data sheet says absolute maximum 500mw @1.5a, however the eBay seller (techhood) lists it’s as 700mw @1.8a. Will this...

What laser safety glasses for 405nm ebay laser?

I bought the blue "gatling" style 405nm laser on ebay, and wanted to get safety goggles before using it. I am considering three pairs from survival lasers, but I am not sure which to get. Either the 190-540nm standards, the 190-540nm+900-1700nm, or the 190-540nm+800-2000nm. I know that most...
