    I've noticed that since I recieved my 5 watt laser I can't narrow the beam at any point only widen it. Is that normal for this laser and if not anyone know how to correct it without a baem expander which I am considering. Thanks before hand

    I want to do my first build but one thing eludes me.

    What is a standard -vs- drilled pill? Let's say I baught a diode driver assembly in a 12mm diameter form. Then I select battery contacts only for the pill "I think that would be right". So does it even apply whether or not it's drilled? Lotta questions for a noob ;-)

    Yes I agree they are trustworthy but you must admit China "did" have a bad reputation. Lately their stuff has been approaching Japanese quality.

    "Laser 301" host breakdown.

    Very helpful thanks. I measured the module in my 303 and it's 8mm so a no go for what I wanted. I picked a 405nm 200mw module for cheap on ebay thought I might give it a home but the module is in a 12mm can so that's off the table :-)

    I talked to Gray and the site stopped working and they weren't aware. I panicked a little because although I've bought lots of things from China I've never sent that much money. My old adage was "never spend more than you are willing to lose" this is the first time I've ever broken that rule ;-)
