What is a standard -vs- drilled pill? Let's say I baught a diode driver assembly in a 12mm diameter form. Then I select battery contacts only for the pill "I think that would be right". So does it even apply whether or not it's drilled? Lotta questions for a noob ;-)

A drilled out pill simply means the pill in the flashlight host is drilled hollow to allow space for larger driver boards.

Like Coonie said, it simply means it's hollow. It's just a ring with threads.

I assume you are looking at Survival Lasers for a DIY host. There is an extensive 8 page thread where I helped a new builder start a C6 host from scratch.

It should give you all the information you would need and then some.

You have to plan ahead what you're going to do to select the correct options. It's all about your physical setup.
