I did a few tests with a 1N4005 diode in series with the battery. The module was pulling about .81 amps, with a voltage drop of .9v across the diode. I was using a fully charged battery at 4v so that gives me about 3.1 which is about right for the module. The diode did heat up a bit but its...

Mine arrived today, the front lens was a little loose so I need to tighten it up but otherwise it looks good. If I wanted to use it with a 3.7-4.2 rechargeable, would I just add a diode inline with the battery to drop the voltage down?

Have you ever tried turning them on all at once? I have some old Nortel switch fan units that have 10 120mm fans in them and they move ALOT of air. I use them as ventilation for my room. :crackup:

This is a heatsink for the Solarforce L2P host. When I made it I didnt measure the length correctly so it was cut off .22 in too short at the head. You can see in the picture how it doesn't extend far enough out. I included a correctly sized heatsink in the last two photo for comparison...
