my dealextreme true 20 mw green laser is acting weird. i just got it yesterday, and when i turn it on its really bright, but after about 3 seconds it becomes dim and the dot becomes less focused. does anyone know what could be causing this and how i can fix it?

i am finished with my diy red, but there is some stringy looking artifacts around the laser dot. when i looked closely at the aixiz lens, there were some small scratches. how should i go about removing these scratches from the lens?

where should i go to get a nice, high quality, burning ir laser for around 100-200 bucks?

is too much heat all that kill diodes, or are there other factors as well?

is there any way to buy diodes separately other than via the internet? are there any stores that sell them?

is it possible to replace the 5 mw diode in a laser pointer with one of senkat's diodes? is the driver in one of these low end lasers sufficient to drive a high powered diode such as senkat's?
