I grabbed a few of these as well... So far, the first two I've tested have extremely weak Red diodes so I'm unable to attain white. However, the Green and Blue diodes are good and bright. I hope they aren't all like that.

Can you combine the output of RGB LEDs with X-cube and get triple the power density?

I was thinking about how intense a beam you can get with only LEDs, not using any laser. So I kind of wondered if combining the output of red, green and blue LEDs with X-cube would be a good idea and how much intensity can you squeeze out of just LEDs, maybe also by pulsing them.

Help - looking to purchase 2 laser pointers - Anyone building/selling them?

I can see & understand where you are coming from. I honestly was just throwing that story out there when I seen the picture and read the other members response is all. I didn't think at the time it was bad but as a new member, I was just trying to make conversation. I am no way a troll and...

"Blue Demon" & "Green Demon" now available - 15W Blue & 4W Green Handhelds

sure, you can get green above 1W..but you will lose some in the beam-combining optics. The channels I talked with in China refer to them (green) as 1.65W x2 but these dual diode handhelds are still pretty new. The feedback I got from a week or two ago. Many sellers circumvent the wording of...

"Blue Demon" & "Green Demon" now available - 15W Blue & 4W Green Handhelds

I know we are waiting to get hands on a NUBC31 but a 4W green at the same time...... no I bet a pair of NUGM06's How good is the beam ? dia. ? divergence ? Is it still diverging faster on one axis ? Combined by Bragg grating ? Looks like I'm behind on my reading, this is exciting...

Looking for brave laserists to test the boost driver

If you want, I can test it but not in a build setting, I prefer to take measurements of every aspect of it. Got a recently calibrated 1054Z and I will soon be getting in the mail a 6.5 digit keithley programmable DMM.

Looking for brave laserists to test the boost driver

I finished this project about 2 years ago, but it never got mass manufactured due to my laziness. I thought it was time to give it second life. What I want to do: I will send this driver to some of you so that you can use it in your project. Then you will come back to this thread and leave...

    Building a "everycolor" / RGB >3W Laserpointer

Nice, I like what you are doing. I was interested in combining red and green too (well, still am), but CDBEAM 777 is telling me he had lots of trouble making yellow with a green diode for some reason, needed 532 nm with a red diode instead. Also, I'd put some adjustments on those optics or you...

10 Watt DPSS 532 nm Pointer, finally got one (38 pound labby).

Thanks for the info, I've been reading up on DPSS over a few years, not intensely, but here and there. I was assuming an 808 nm pump of about 40 watts output to make 10 at 532 nm. I'd love to see what is inside this unit, just don't want to risk causing problems to see. I did more testing with...

Using 638nm and 520nm to make a yellow combined laser

Using 638nm and 520nm to make a yellow combined laser

...Hope you realize it is not possible to make a yellow wavelength laser by combining red and green laser beams. All you will have is an illusion of some sort, depending upon your visual system, of yellow at best if both lasers are perfectly aligned and both lasers have same beam shape and size...

Dual color custom host 520nm and 635nm rebuild - merge my two lasers into one

**I also could have put this in the red lasers section but I like the 520nm green a little more. ;) Having nothing much to do during lockdown, I tore apart my two old lasers which both used cheap flashlights and broken lasers as hosts. I got tired of carrying several lasers on outdoor trips so...

    NUBM31T 95W 455nm

Hi, I do not know what kind of phosphor you have but when I dismantled projectors I tried to make green light by putting phosphor wheel (one like you can find in ebay) into the focus of KE-block (I think it was one from M130). So less than 50W for sure and pretty badly focused by the end lens...

    New! Sharp Diodes 1W 520nm & 5W 455nm & +2W 638nm

That's good news about the backfill gas being added back ! I will test the 4w 445 FAC when I get it and look for your results with the green, I have several 1w green builds but I have long wanted to correct that bar shaped spot, if these FAC diodes have a clean output and perform well then I...

Beam combining - effects of different wavelengths on resultant human perception.

First.....Of course yes....You will only perceive the color that the 589 line makes.... Second, My build...the Chartreuse Coruscation is almost complete...and it is a Red+Green combiner hand held....which can generate a color seen at the 560 ~570 line....but not 589.....my goal was Green...

Beam combining - effects of different wavelengths on resultant human perception.

Here is awesome example of "RGB color combining" at Berlin photo week: there was three spot lights (R/G/B) pointed at the wall making white light, until you walked front of those light they made your "shadow" of those color combinations (7 colours)

Beam combining - effects of different wavelengths on resultant human perception.

Replied in Quote. Thank you for the discourse. I always appreciate a good hypothetical dicussion about light, especially when I'm only starting to wrap my head around the intricacies of it. This makes obvious sense. As we approach a central wavelength of 550-560nm (depending on the...

    New New New: Welcome Post!

Exactly. You don't get it--what you want to make is a daydream based upon your imagination/imaginings about lasers not an accomplished and available reality of lasers in the real world. There is nothing ready made off the shelf for what you want to do/your purpose. If your window is 4 weeks to...
