1 watt green laser for sale

I bought this a couple of months ago to chase geese. Once I figured things out it worked really well. I used it about 10 times and now I don't have a use for it. Its a 1 watt aluminum heat sink 520nm laser with adjustable focus. It comes with multiple modes...Low, medium, high strobe and S.O.S...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

...each time. I also learned this weekend that my one neighbor has been chasing them with a weak laser pointer at night. So I think part of the reason that some of the geese don't fear the beam as much is because they are getting used to it. Funny I thought I was the only one to have the laser...

    green laser help

I have been playing around with the focus and have noticed that the geese are more afraid of the dot when its brighter and smaller. When I first tried this, the beam wasn't focused and the dot was rather large at distance. Now I'm working with a smaller brighter dot and they do run from it. I...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

Just tried again this morning with the geese actually on the ground. I had three of them walking around about 200 feet away from me. I shined the laser about 10 feet away from them and slowly brought it closer. At first, they walked away from the light and stopped honking but that didn't last...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

So today I tried it again on the geese since now I could see the laser point. The geese where about 100 yards away on the top of two houses. Two geese on each house making a ton of noise. So I shine the laser at the first two and one takes off immediately the other just sits there but stops...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

...This thing is bright no joke I didn't like bringing the dot any closer than say 50 feet in the grass. I guess I will try this again when the geese come back tomorrow morning without the glasses. Reading the safety threads about eye damage r/t lasers >5mw basically scared the crap out of me.

Pointing at a wall that isn't closer to you than around 20 feet won't harm your eyes. Yes, it's really bright, but don't let that scare you too much. Why not try standing outside, or with an open window, and point outside? You'll probably be able to notice the beam easily and be able to follow...

    green laser help

I was told green was the best for scaring geese. I'm actually scared to use this thing without glasses. I did once to see the beam and frankly it freaked me out. I pointed it at the concrete and that was enough. I'm sure its because I read all the warnings on this site and others about eye...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

WHAT!!! No fucking way!!! You are making that up!!! Or you have a broken laser. Why would you be wearing goggles when using it outside in daytime? You can't loose the dot at 100 feet, maybe you could if wearing goggles, that should scare geese away at one mile away. Alan

    green laser help

Well I tried the 1watt laser today to chase the geese. I was about 100+ feet away and the goose was on the roof of a house. Its overcast here so I figured it would show better. I lost the dot halfway to the house. I'm not sure if it was the goggles, the daytime or that the dot is so small but I...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

I tried the 1watt laser for the geese at about 100 feet away. It was daytime and slightly overcast. I lost the dot halfway to the bird. So I gave up, it didn't work. I'm not sure if I lost the dot because of the goggles, daylight, or just because the dot is so small. Anyways buying the laser...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

Starlings are not protected by law in the US. Some farmers and companies use poison to control them but only because they will eat the livestock food. I think it's called Starlicide.

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

You mentioned starlings. IRC, they (European starlings) are invasive species [of course it's more complicated], and as such they should not be released back (that I take from fishing regulations). Are there any special regulations for these kind of birds compared to native like Canada geese?

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

I've seen my share of geese dead on the side of the road if that's your question? You're also comparing geese (that can fly) to cats and squirrels which can't. Pretty much every year you can see them though. It's normally a pile of feathers like Teej said. It happens mostly on the roads by lakes...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

They are not Canadian Geese, they are Canada Geese. :na: We have dead goose road kill all over by where I live/work....no one slows down for them any more unless they have a line of chicks behind them....they just run them over, typically while muttering something that sounds a lot like "Damn...

    Hello everyone! Bird solution?

Woohoo, didn't realize I couldn't ask a question about your job. As for Canadian Geese in NJ. They don't really migrate that much anymore. Many of them are permanent residents. We made it so good for them, why leave? Can't legally trap them, can't kill them, we stop traffic when they...
