    IQS (itemquick ship) Laser Round-up

No, that's what I get for talking about two different pointers in the same post, sorry. Thanks, just might have to try that since my $8 405nm puts out about 50mW.

    IQS (itemquick ship) Laser Round-up

I've noticed it (keychain pointer) is very temperature sensitive. It takes a while to warm up before it gets to full power. Don't know if that's worth 11 bucks to you. Very cool! Pics? Or was that you who posted one a month or so back? How difficult a project was it to shorten?

    IQS (itemquick ship) Laser Round-up

Looks like another new offering from itemquickship: 2011 Adjustable 2in1 Green Laser Pointer 85-105# Burn Who's going to be the first to try it out? Edit: The text of the auction says blue beam. Not sure if this is a 532nm as in the description or a 405 as in the text. Photo shows green. BTW...

    Super Beast Green

Just got the replacement module and installed it. Preliminary tests show it outputting 115mW, with 21mW of IR, about 18%. Have not run it for more than 30 seconds yet and haven't done a plot either. We'll see how long this one lasts.

    Super Beast Green

I just disected my SB #100 to diagnose the switch problem. The little black plastic button support has a shelf on each side that slides onto the pc board. There is also a little tab of self adhesive foam stuck to the outside of the button support as a shim to take up the extra room since the...

    Multiquote tutorial

Multiqoute works across multiple pages of the same thread. I did a test from pages 1, 14, and 15 in a different thread and it worked fine.

Where to actually buy a Flexdrive?

I remember reading about delays before and if I recall correctly, the preferred method was Google Checkout. It seems other methods were not monitored as much. Edit: Here's the thread I mentioned.

    Multiquote tutorial

Glad I could help! Not an Obsession, it's a 14.5" (36.83cm) Starmaster with dual axis servos controlled by a Sky Commander digital setting circles giving it tracking and goto capabilities. The mirror is superb! It belongs to my astronomy club (check out my profile for more information)...

    Multiquote tutorial

I searched the forum for information on how to use the multiquote function to no avail. After a few trial and errors, I figured it out. Just click the "Multiquote" button below the posts you want to include in a single post. A "+" will appear next to it. After selecting the last multiquote...

Looking to upgrade my telescope, suggestions?

Most of the Messier list is distinguishable in a six inch scope. Globular star clusters can be resolved to some extent. The only color you will see is star color (a function of their temperature). Catalogs want to fool you with time exposure photos to make you think you will see colorful...

Looking to upgrade my telescope, suggestions?

I have several telescopes. The larger the diameter, the fainter the objects it can "see". If you live in a very light polluted area, large aperture just gathers more light pollution. The "best telescope" is the one you will use the most. You can easily see and log the entire Messier list with a...
