    7W 445nM diode burned out?

In the end you're trying to compair two pieces of crap. And the end of the day, it's still cheap crap. Good day.

    So AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAs? 18 A batteries.

    7W 445nM diode burned out?

LPS was the first to create and sell "Thor", therefore, not rebranded. Get your facts straight.

    CR123 batteries

Dang, I've heard of AAAs, I've heard of triple As, but I've never heard of triple triple As. That's incredible.

    7W 445nM diode burned out?

They probably sent you a new "$400" laser because to them it costs a few bucks, which is the quality of the diode and driver. But I digress.

Not this can of worms again... There are already several threads about this exact question if you just used the search function... I think his point was if you are going to dazzle someone, green is the highest blind to power ratio. You need less power with green to flashblind than any other color.

Newbie here, looking to build a 1 watt blue. Where do i start?

That's the thing, the build has nothing to do with that specific "module." It shows you how to put together a C6 host and parts. You can drop in any module you want. Any color and almost any power. You can choose what color you want, but since you want 445nm blue, you can pick almost any diode...

Newbie here, looking to build a 1 watt blue. Where do i start?

Alright, here is a really straightforward tutorial: If you need help selecting the host and driver options, don't be afraid to ask.

Hi, just joined. Looking to build a laser for a scuba diving project

It's a cool project for sure, but aren't there already ready built devices for diving that measure distance? They use two converging beams that have a set angle that calculate the length of something based of where the two dots land. Maybe your application is for extremely tight spaces?

Holy $h!t! I've been looking for information on Sanwu's LPM. This is badly needed information, thank you so much for sharing this!

    Soap Bubbles and lasers

laserpointerstore.com has a good cheap option for $50 called Thor M2. It's around 1W-1.5W for that option. For red or green check out Sanwulasers.com. They are much more expensive but one of the best quality you can get. Also JetLasers for a red or green PL-E Mini is similar price but more rugged.

    Soap Bubbles and lasers

It depends on the color. 300mW or 500mW of green would be very visually effective.

    Soap Bubbles and lasers

As far as suggesting a real place to buy from, it would depend on the powers you need. But for that, we still haven't figured out the dangers of using one for a show.

    Computer Problem

From the outstanding evidence, looks like you need another 500W PSU or more. 280W would barely fly 15 years ago. You can take it to Best Buy and have them hook up a proper power supply to troubleshoot. My brother replied again but that's the jist of it.

Well, are you thinking of using handheld lasers for your purposes, or stationary labby type lasers?

    Feedback on Laser Video

I still think it's worth mentioning because, I mean, you get a diode laser and 90% of the time it inherently will have a bar shaped output or something that will need to be corrected by a lens. Just a cheap 532nm laser 303 from еBay will have a very nice, truly tight beam due to DPSS, which are...

    Feedback on Laser Video

I still think it would be important to tall about that DPSS is much beam in beam quality with Gaussian beam characteristics and TEM00 and whatnot, but whatever you decide I support you. It's a great informative video that would be really easy to link for a newbie.
