Looking for advice on safe laser for jobsite

Defiantly don't bring anything more than a 5 mw greenie out on a commercial site. Osha will be on you like white on rice. I worked on many of such sites. You get into trouble just for having a transistor radio playing....no music allowed. A strong focusable flashlight with the green cat teaser...

    Sanwu Silver 7 watt

Really shouldn't run this over 30 seconds. I already burned out a 5.5 by running it too long. The large copper heatsink stays hot once it gets warm. This thing is so powerful, it makes a popping sound as it burns into things when focused...like in the movie GoldFinger

    Sanwu Silver 7 watt

It lives!! I had a 5.5 watt that had died last year so I had Sanwu make a module that was 7 watt for it I sent the host back to them. He repolished it up for me while it was there. In the meantime I got the expander for it as well. Of course I just had to fire it

    Small but strong laser pointer?

Nope, not safe. Great idea but no. Anything over 5 mw cannot be used. Scratch that idea.

    Survival Laser S4X duty cycle

Great tip. All my lasers had solid copper heatsink, brass hosts. Now I would choose a heavy aluminum host. I fried a couple diodes already Rep for you

Anyone interested in a 40 watt CNC by FullSpectrum Laser

Right now i have it boxed up and put away. Ill need to re-assemble it for photos. I had it three years, but it has been stored away two. The tube has about 18 hours on it by my guesstimate. It has the software from FULLSPECTRUM lasers. It will print or cut from coral draw or cad drawings. The...

Anyone interested in a 40 watt CNC by FullSpectrum Laser

I have a FullSpectrum CNC portable machine. It Covers approxamatly11x18 area inside the machine. It has a 40 watt co2 laser tube in it. Comes with external blower, compresser, water pump for coolant. The bottom is removable to do larger work or material. It works best on thinner materials. It...

    Sanwu 7W silver

I got my BE in, it works great on my little 405. Sadly, my 7watt isnt working due to COD. Only the bottom bar lights up on the multimode diode. They told me to send the whole thing back. Thats quite expensive to ship first class. I might as well order the bigger one with the larger batteries...

    505nm, 520nm 532nm comparison

Clear as Do Ra Me on the piano. The very first picture was spot on. The last beam looks almost blue compared to the first one

    Florida Shooting

You are so right here. The signs were there. This kid, now an adult had several problems and appearently did not have proper guidence. The guns he had were perfectly legal, kept in a safe etc. Like you said he was just handed off after losing his parents. He is autistic, had fixations with guns...

    Anyone here grind lenses

Im no physicist or eletronics person, but i shape things with my hands and imagination. Now all we need is someone to build the rig as suggested above to grind at least the face of the lens for proof of concept. When the parts for my sanwu come, Ill try the crude ice lens. Perhaps Podo can find...

    Anyone here grind lenses

Each laser needs its own correction much like every eye needs its own correction. Your idea will work to some degree. I might try making a crud form of this just by shaping ice just for test of concept.

    Anyone here grind lenses

Nice videos, Alaskan, I just wonder if he can modify the rig shown to grind on two axis much like a carpenter cuts out an oval.this could be a game changer
