That depends on how much time you have to dedicate to this hobby. Location too, is crticial. It wasn't my plan to take up R/C Heli as an outdoor hobby; I just wanted something that was a bit more challanging than a std $30 3ch Heli. Now I have 4ch/6ch helis which need to be trained on outdoors...

4ch for $60? Doesn't sound like it's up to the task at that price range but have a look at this thread...
