    473nm Wonderland

Hello friends :) So, recently you may have noticed me at 3999 posts, or, for a brief moment, at 4000. I then had to frantically find, and delete an unimportant post. HOWEVER!! The time has come to finally post my 4000th post and LEAVE it :) SO HAPPY 4000!!! I come to you with 3 473nm heads...

    Confirmed cheap multi-line 980nm/490nm pen

Re: Possible cheap 2-line 980nm/490nm pen Very interesting .. I am about to purchase some of these pens, and a diode. Looking at a 500mW TO-5, or a 1W c-mount. Wondering if the more power, the better? Or if only canned diodes will work? Thoughts? EDIT: I had a violet diode that LEDed, and...

    11W Self-Contained CuBr CVL (laser pr0n).

Overall, as mentioned, a CVL/CuBr/CuCl is not a terribly difficult unit to construct, tube-wise. It's no more than any other basi tube design, minus the addition of Cu. As well as a heater for said Cu. The complication comes with the power supply needed for the pulses. Even more complicated...

PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please Dibs, likely purchasing in 5-10mins. Going to see if Sam is familiar with this seller, but consider it sold regardless. This email will serve more as bragging, than clarification ;) EDIT: Apparently...

    Fighting Racism (explicit)

So this isn't laser related, so I am posting it here. This is a fairly lengthy video that I feel that gamers should watch. About racism. I am a heavy CoD gamer, and I upload videos daily, and stream, etc etc. This happened during a stream, and I needed to make a video about it. I don't...

    Do people really read sigs?

I've been debating doing other things with my signature. Such as doing a horizontal list like Hwang. However, for the non solid state wavelengths, I'd want people to know where they came from. Like the ArKr, HeCd, and HeNe wavelengths. In case someone wants to know more about them, they can...

    B> Hosts and Heatsinks!

Re: B> Silver polished C6 I'm changing this thread to just a buying page for hosts and heatsink combos. I have a lot of ideas, diodes, etc. Just need things to build into.

[FEELER] Cheap, small Laser diode Drivers

I'd like to be able to go to double digit currents. I have a LOT of diodes that take as low as 35mA, but there's aren't any commercially available drivers that go that low anymore. The ghost drives used to, but those disappeared when he did...

    11W Self-Contained CuBr CVL (laser pr0n).

Very neat. I will need to read more about these. They also do IR. EDIT: Seems to be designed exactly the same way as a CVL. Thankfully different from a CuBr/CuCl in that you do not need alternating pulses to disassociate the two.

    11W Self-Contained CuBr CVL (laser pr0n).

Unfortunately, Nobody is DIY'ing gas tubes anymore, and there are only a handful of professionally manufactured HeSes out there. Never any HeHgs (that I know of) and I have no idea what a SrVL is... So anything will be blurry stills, and bad polaroids scanned into jpgs. EDIT: Strontium vapor...

    11W Self-Contained CuBr CVL (laser pr0n).

This is likely the best CVL/CuBr on youtube. I've watched this vi maybe half a dozen times now. Brings back the urge to start building one of these again .... 578nm is just so tempting. If only I did not live in the wretched dorm!

    GB: 1W 520nm diode information/giveaway

First post says nothing guaranteed but test results. Did not guarantee what results. "test results" could be whether it breaks when dropped in 16 ounces of vitamin D whole milk. Not that results are guaranteed for all tests mentioned, or for any particular tests. 3 more posts (not...

    Rarest laser wavelength?

COILs are very unique. I'm also a fan of the CO lasers. Not CO2, but this bigass multi MW CO lasers. Pretty rad.

    Also sold!

Re: 50mW 680nm Laser For Sale! Uncommon Wavelength! Where did you find a 50mW diode? Thorlabs? I'm interested as I've only seen the 35mW 685's on eBay.

    Rarest laser wavelength?

I didn't know what it was when I bought it, but I now know where to find them. Steve bought 4 a while back, all do numerous lines. REO/PMS particle counters. I've seen pics of HeSes and HeHgs. Once I get a garage or workplace that I don't need clean everyday (like my dorm) I plan to work on...

    B> Hosts and Heatsinks!

Simple request! I am just looking for hosts and heatsinks :) No C6's (sorry LivinLoud :() The more unique, the better. If it's something you got a heatsink for, but never used, and want to get rid of it, PM me a price and pictures :) Thanks! Hopefully I will find something inspiring for...

    Rarest laser wavelength?

607 and 604nm DPSS never "dried up". CNI sells them both, but they were $4999 when I asked for 5mW. KVANT also sells 607nm, cheaper per mw, but still ridiculously pricey. Outside of diode and dpss, I think Sigurther mentioned these. A working professionally manufactured HeSe, whitelight...

    Is a white laser possible?

Did something similar with a 488nm Ar and an 594nm HeNe.

    Is a white laser possible?

How do you think RGB/RGV/RGBV lasers work? ;) Combining a decent ratio of all 3/4 (sometimes 5/6) colors. Basic combos include 1 red, green, and 1 blue. Though they can get as complex as VBBGRR. Sometimes people use 642 and 660 or 445 and 473, or 445 and 457. Can get complicated, but yes...
