    What really grinds your gear?

The fact that spongebob squarepants can fill a seemingly empty bath with water when he is already under the sea.

Pics of the laser along with a piece of paper that has your username on it might help :)

Underdriven 9mm 445nm for Continuous Duty Cycle

There would be absolutely no point of a finned heat sink if it going to be enclosed. In fact, it would be worse than a solid one. If the heat sink will be protruding out of the front of the host, it would help to have fins only where the heatsink is exposed.

    Test #1 Underdriven 9mm 445nm and Heat

Tbh I never stick to duty cycles and run my 445 driven by a maxed out flex drive pretty hot. I haven't burnt a diode yet even though I run it for close to 4 minutes in a small hot light host. If you want unlimited duty cycle perhaps it would be better to go with a custom built ehgemus host? The...

WTB: ~100mw 532nm Module or Laser

Re: WTB: 100-200mw 532nm Module or Laser If the beam is TOO bright it might impact the audiences ability to see what ever he's pointing it at.

Underdriven 9mm 445nm for Continuous Duty Cycle

I didn't notice any difference, it might have been there, but it wasn't significant enough to be noticeable. That was running off a battery with a shot protection circuit which severely limited the current and made it look almost LED. It was set in a hotlight with similar heat sinking to a c6...

I like to jump the gun..

I know, a lot of people wont but it's just better imo.

Come on... Even you should know having the word c*nt in your username isn't acceptable.

Underdriven 9mm 445nm for Continuous Duty Cycle

Not really. When running my 445 at around 100mW, it barely looks any different. It's just less bright.

Ignes, it isn't necessary to leave the forum. If you change your name and honestly try to become part of the community I see no reason for you not to fit in. We all make mistakes.

    Open Source LaserBee SDK!

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if some people start buying laserbee's purely because they want to load "aftermarket" firmware on it. It gives people another reason to purchase your product. :) I have absolutely nothing against you Jerry, but I believe the constant back and forth arguing...

    DTR's Excellent Customer Service.

I purchased two M-140 diodes a few weeks back and thought I should make a thread applauding DTR for his great customer service. I initially send DTR a message saying I would like two M-140 diodes, one for me and one for a friend so I would have to send him two separate payments. He promptly...

    New Toy :)

Yep, That's the right lens, It's even the second gen variation :) As stated it won't come in the normal canon box as it's been split from a 2 lens kit (still the exact same lens) but other than that it definitely seems genuine. The price on these lenses doesn't really get much lower than that...

    New Toy :)

Sweet! Once you get a hang of your cam in auto, I'd recommend you try experimenting in manual mode. You can get some really cool pics by changing things like your aperture and shutter speed. The practice will also help you when using a reverse lens/macro tubes. Do you mind telling me how much...

    New Toy :)

Yep, reversing rings for most macro photography but you'll need alot of light and a small aperture to get a usable depth of field. Ped has a ring on order already so I didn't mention it :p Btw Ped, what's wrong with the macro lens you had from your previous cam?

    New Toy :)

You can't really compare the image quality of say a 12mpx phone camera to a 8mp DLSR. Even though the DSLR has less megapixels it will still deliver a much better quality picture. @Ped, The Sigma has a magnification of 1:2 while the Canon has a magnification of 1:3, So the Sigma comes out...

    New Toy :)

If you turn the dial to AV which is aperture priority, you can use the dial near the shutter to scroll up/down. You only need to drop down the aperture a small bit. (Dropping down aperture means increasing F-stops) The higher the f-stop is, the smaller the aperture hole within your lens. If you...
