Hey, I've only seen one recent thread from searching, and it's four months old. I've seen newer lasers since then, so I wanted to get some more input.

What is the brightest laser you can buy for nighttime use? The 700mW 532 on jet lasers looks cool, but I'm not sure if a more powerful blue would be brighter. Thanks guys

Forgot it works like that >.< I'm considering getting an LPM just to make sure, but I have to see what DL's policy is on replacements. Edit: I picked up some energizer ultimate lithiums and there's no difference. It's either underspec or my expectations were too high. I'm going with the latter...

Do you think the laser seems underspec because it's only getting 1.5V?

I think my 95mW green from DL might not be outputting at maximum capacity because of the batteries (I'm using normal Energizers right now, 2xAAA). The threads I've seen on the forum with the same question are over a year old, so I'm not not sure if there have been any advancements in batteries...

I just got the 95mW Viper (532) and the 1W Spartan (447) from DL, and I have to say that the blue one seems ten times brighter than the green. The green beam isn't as visible as I thought it would be. This is at night btw. Though I can say the same for day :P

This laser is amazing. Can't wait till they have the new beam expanders in stock :)
