I'm sick and tired of my temps..... Replacing the compound tonight. While playing the new Battlefield 3 Alpha trial for 15 min my temps looked like this. Check out the max temp. Pictures.....will come later.

You can only get invited by EA....to tell you the truth...It is pretty cool, but your not missing much. I need to learn all of the controls on the game. I suck.

I have confirmed that there is only one fan. Also, like I have said before, that picture is of my laptop. No trickery going on here. :) I can get close ups if you'd like. I noticed that too. I'm not sure what kind of coating it is. I do know that anodizing has pretty poor heat transfer...

I agree...I don't think that the heat sink was properly designed to handle both the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 6570 and the i7-2630QM processor at the same time.

The fan is pushing out very hot air just fine. I'm kind of staring to think that the heat sink design just isn't good enough to handle a i7 processor and GPU with just one fan.

You always need to remember that there is a difference between a business product line and a consumer product line. In general, the consumer product line is usually much worse and this is the case with both Dell and HP.

Yeah...It's awesome. On battery...boot time from pressing the power button to being in a usable state takes around 25-30. Plugged in it takes around 18-25. It seems to vary a bit. My windows 7 rating is no longer 5.9 It's 6.8. It is now held back by the video card. Processor is 7.4 HD...
