What South Koreans think of North Korea

While "Strongman" Trump continues to inflame an already volatile situation on the Korean peninsula to new levels with his misuse of office, here is a real reaction from the people next door, the South Koreans. What do South Koreans think about North Korea? Are they afraid? Are they ready to go...

    Data Logging Software

I am assuming you are using one of the Ophir 20C-A Sensors with the data logging hardware? A picture of how you wired the sensor/setup might give us a better idea what could be going wrong. Have you tried wiring the sensor for +18v GND -18v yet to see the the output on a standard DMM ?

    New high power Rocket launch

Well you never know what you might find in a gun vault. A fellow shooter was cleaning out his storage magazine found something of a relic from long ago. This might bring back some memories for those of you in your late 40's - early 50's. No, I am not going to set any of these...

    Data Logging Software

What do you mean by trace? Also, have you had this sensor working in your configuration before? I am trying to figure out how you have this set up. Can you get a photo of your setup and post it? This might help answer some questions.

    Data Logging Software

Right, so that board uses a proprietary data protocol that WinDAQ, and the programs mentioned can decode. MATLAB also connects to it. That's good. Have you tried installing the drivers? You might try running a student version of TI LABView to see if you can see your device? Peregrine...

    Data Logging Software

Most likely the data acquisition software is not for streaming but for data translation into a graph. None of the devices listed on the Dataq use the Rs232 protocol. What Dataq hardware are you using?

Videos from youtube you wish to share.

Si Pero No by Alex Cuba. I had the pleasure of meeting him along with Nelly Furtado and 54/40 last year at a private concert for Syrian Rufugees and staff at VIRCS/ICA in Victoria. Both Alex and Nelly on stage together singing was simply the best music I've heard in a very long time. Alex...

High precision LPM with Ophir 20C-Y-A/150/30 etc... possible with new board.

Any edition of LABView should work.

    Peregrine

umm, well looking at the Dataq data loggers don't work over RS232 port protocol. Also, as you indicate have their own drivers and data acquisition software DATAQ, WinDAQ and MATLAB All the LPMs featured here as well as Ophir stream their data over serial in real time. I suggest you look...

    Peregrine

Peregrine from Radiant Alpha works. I have just confirmed this on my HackPro. IF you are running this software from a Mac running MacOS 10.12.6 or later you will need to disable gate keeper by using the sudo command sudo spctl --master-disable # disable Gatekeeper or xattr -d -r...

What gives you nightmares in the animal world!

No, but I sure wish they'd invested in food for their own people rather than focussing on gas centrifuges. Having lived in that part of the world for many years, I can get the mentality very well. The last thing the DPRK wants is a military conflict, but IF they feel they are being backed...

What gives you nightmares in the animal world!

True, DPRK has been able to get around much of the sanctions imposed on it over the years through China, Russia, Cuba and Venezuela. I hope peace will come to the Korean peninsula quickly. If any outbreak of conflict were to occur I'll be heading there ASAP.

What gives you nightmares in the animal world!

Some of you might find this post offensive, but I'm going to express what I see going on with DPRK and US. I am very angry with the current US Government in how it is setting the stage for a possible military conflict. South Korean citizens tonight are protesting against the US Governments...

What gives you nightmares in the animal world!

You forgot diamond back rattlesnakes, and the other 16 species of snakes that live around Southern Ontario/Southern B.C. , Scorpions ( We have them here in B.C./Alberta/Saskatchewan), several species of spiders including the western Black Widow, Hobo Spider and more recently thanks to raw log...

Wow.. Just Wow... Google is spying on you...

I have some info from my phone recorded, but I turned off most of functions to record tracking. The nice thing is I found some sites that I forgot about in my history. You have the option of turning off Google's tracking functionality.

    damaged Ophir 20C UAS-.5Y

As we know this is a RS232 interface LPM sensor. The larger chip to the right looks to me like a TI conduit chip of some sort. You'll also notice that the sensor in the data sheet can be powered from +6V to +24V. Also there is a pinout guide stating the following off the data sheet: 6...

    Data Logging Software

*You've actually been sent a PM regarding Peregrine! *Also there are quite a few realtime serial plotting applications out there. Some even look up via your Android phone to graph as well. in the mean time try this to see if it will work off your serial port...

    Data Logging Software

Peregrine is coming back but it will have to be updated to be used with the new edition of Java and Processing 3. I'm going to try and work on it once I get the source files from Trevor/ :can:

Bicron Surveyor M mod - PIC scaler BIG POST

Some rather good news on the Bicron surveyor modification project. I had a few days to have a look at the board and got hold of a USB oscilloscope and probed around the MC14538B chip.... I found a positive polarity pulse from Pin 10 of the IC... This means I have 2 separate outputs that can be...
