You may want to get this metered. I highly doubt its actual output is even close to 500mW...especially considering it is from lazerer.

That's the thing, isn't it- when they bought modules from CNI their lasers were somewhat respectable. Did you ever see the "high powered" modules from when they started to make them?? They were absolute JUNK!

just turn the lens (the black thing sticking out). You may have to scrape the glue off holding it down, but it usually isn't very strong.

I would be more amazed if they weren't burned out when you got them. Those LED's use a ton of individual chips in series, and most of the time a fair number of them will be burnt out from the get go. This video may give you a better idea.

I have a program I use thats simply caIled "image resizer." Drag the pics into the program to open and resize them all at onceI. Saves time uploading as well. Ill link it here when I get to my computer.

Wow this thread got stupid, quick. I think the last thing you need is a laser of ANY kind. Clearly you wouldn't be able to handle it.

The module needs to be flush with the heatsink. You are losing a lot of heat transfer the way you have it.
