Game: Guess the mystery object !

Nope. Basically looking for what the middle tool is. That is an allen wrench next to it. The other item makes using the middle item easier.

    mini RC helicopters

I'm having a ball with my new S107. I took my heli to work today and showed it off to several co-workers. One guy is ordering three tonight and two or three others may be ordering one each. They can't believe how well it flies and how cool it is for under $30. Hmmm, should I get another S107...

    Super Beast Green

I have the same one. It also has the "short" silver aperture cap. With used batteries it was still outputting 81mw. Once warmed up with fresh batteries it measured 134mW. No complaints here!

Ebay modules - are they ever worth it?

I bought a 150mW and 100mW and they are great. The beams are very tight and well collimated. Power is as advertised on mine. Purchased from sellers laseryork and itemquickship in the USA.

    IQS (itemquick ship) Laser Round-up

My LaserBee II uses a 9V battery but seems to last a very long time! I haven't left it on overnight though.

    IQS (itemquick ship) Laser Round-up

It would indeed appear that the lens assembly has an IR filter in it. Do you have a spare pair of goggles that will filter out 532 but pass 1064? Try running it through the goggles with and without the lens assembly to see how much IR is hitting the LPM. Be sure to wear adequate eye protection...

    mini RC helicopters

FedEx delivered my (genuine, not fake or clone) Syma S107 from thinkrc.com yesterday. They sent emails confirming the order and tracking information. It was very painless process. After unpacking, I charged it per instructions. First flight time was about 5 minutes. Second charge only lasted...

    mini RC helicopters

Just ordered a Syma S107 from ThinkRC and used the code march5 to get an additional 5% discount. Also added spare rotor blades, tail rotor blade, battery, and a balance bar. Looking forward to my first heli.

Interesting thread, thanks. Now, would you buy this as a first RC heli or stick with the S107?

What do you guys think of the EFly EF136? It's got 4 channels, gyro stabilized, and comes with spare rotor blades and 2 batteries for $60.
