No other color is more visible than green. If you want a brighter laser, look for a 532nm laser that produces more than 200mW.

Due to the scattering of air and what is in it, shorter (violet blue etc. scatters most), so the redder the more penetration, therefore, I would get the most long wave red light you can... ;) -Glenn

Going further is not a technical term. In a technical sense light will go forever until it is blocked by something. If you want the most visible color of laser, you'll want a green laser. 532nm is a measure of the color of the laser, so "532nm" and "green laser" are synonymous. You cannot have a 532nm red laser.

A 800mw green laser would be about the brightest handheld laser you could find for an affordable price. An 800mw red laser would appear to be 1/4 - 1/8 the brightness of the green.

Lasers of that power are significantly more dangerous than the 200mw versions. Never even think about shining it at any vehicles, aircraft, or people. Everyone present when you use it must wear safety glasses or they could suffer permanent damage.

Green is best in visibility at distance. Blue and red around 1W are only in multimode variants, which are bad for distant pointing.
If you want to go far, stick with the green. Get some premium high power model, get beam expander (which in fact lowers divergence). Generally you need the beam as wide at aperture as possible.

And yeah, ale that question sounds like some prank. Just don't do it.
