Yeah customs seizure is NOT fun. I just went through that with a recent cell phone purchase. PITA getting it released.

EDIT: Coupon code is not working for me. When I get to paypal it says $176 even though the total on the previous screen after the discount shows $148.99. I tried in both chrome and firefox

EDIT2: Got it to work. In case anyone else runs into trouble checking out make sure you are logged in and click secure checkout and not paypal. In the end you can still pay with paypal but if you click it right away the discounts dont apply for some reason.

^^^I have mixed feelings about that.

I mean on the one hand I do want a great laser:D

On the other hand, I wouldn't be comfortable endorsing a company if they cherry pick for some people and leave others hanging.

@Boosted240 - That sucks. I keep waiting for sprint to release 2.3 officially for my samsung epic.
 
Yeah, we won't really know until more people buy these that DD doesn't know that are members. Then we'll have a good judgement of where they stand as a company as well as their product. Like I said before if it meters @300 I'll be more than happy :D

To be honest, I don't actually think there would be anything wrong with DD cherry picking us better units. I have NO REASON to believe they are doing that - so don't take this as any sort of indication that they are.

But as long as they aren't selling under-spec units to the public, I see no issue with them finding *more-overspec* units for LPF members. A lot of manufacturers that sell to us on LPF do that. It's a courtesy of sorts since they know we're likely to appreciate the bonus more than others (potentially). Again, as long as we're not getting a benefit at the expense of someone else receiving something below-spec, I don't see any issue. In fact, I think it's just fine to be ok with such a policy.

Again though, no reason to believe that they are doing so.
 
I am curious how ours will meter. I ordered a LaserBee meter last week should be here any day. I'll meter mine and my friend's and post the results here.

so you guys are still able to order lasers...? ion the laser pages they are all saying that they will be refunded, i feel like i got kicked in the ass.

Oh I see what you mean. Is that new or do they just say that for legal purposes? Dont make a big deal about it on chat unless its new or they might actually cancel orders because it was brought up.
