So I was looking at Guide Stars today (The ones in observatories), and I came across this clip, And was wondering if it was a camera lens, or the curvature of the earth causeing the bend. Either way, you gotta love the 589nm.



Edit: Oh jeeze, I just seen it was a 360º Camera. Still pretty

^yup, just the camera setup is making it look like its bending in a effort to get more of the night sky in one continuos shot.
 
Really? It is for me. I love the Sky when you can see the Milky-way Like that. No light pollution.
 
Yeah... wide lenses have distortion out the ass. Some are better than others (like that $20k Nikon 13mm). :p

The beam just doesn't find the night sky as attractive anymore
 
The beam talked to its doctor after it had been pointing at that one spot in the sky for more than two hours.
