There have been countless threads on this. It all comes down to money and what your idea of "handheld" is. I think there are 5W IR units but those would be EXTREMELY dangerous and unpractical. Do you maybe have a pricerange? There are members here who could probably make you anything you want (within reason) for the right price.

Nevertheless, as jeffery or "Thatguy" had said, IR is your best bet for high powers.

He's just fishing for free lasers. Outside of WL.. I think you'll find not many people will give 'free stuff to review' to just anyone. Most know it's just a waste of money unless the reviewing individual is actually well established and well respected enough that people will listen.
