I know plenty of continuous lasers. However, this is not a good implementation.

What you're proposing is definitely illegal. What your neighbor is doing is unreasonable, but could be legal.

Shades or blinds and a little bit of common sense are a far better plan. What you do outdoors is free to be recorded by anyone that wants to, because you can have no reasonable expectation of privacy.

Have you examined possible reasons as to why your neighbors might be spying on you?

No not false went to PD this AM and nothing has been done about it yet.
Set up a camera (even a dummy camera) pointing at his
windows...
If it is illegal he will call the cops...

Or take a picture of his wife/girlfriend and blow it up
to life size and put it in the room that his camera is
looking at... so he can see you kissing/caressing it....:eg:

What county do you live in...

As far legal your right I looked it up you can record anything that's outside in the public but it states that you can not point said camera at any ones windows or doors. He can record my back yard all day but he cannot train it on my windows or doors.therefore I'm allowed to whatever I need to protect my privacy this includes a laser in the hopes that I damage his camera and never once stepping foot on his property what I want to do to him is no different than what he is doing to us.

I like this plan. :p

Seriously, don't do anything that will get you in trouble. Why not use curtains, blinds, or shades until the police respond to you?

I am going to set the laser up in the very window his camera is pointed at this laser will be indoors pointing out my bedroom window so if his camera gets in the way of the beam I'm projecting out my own window at the sky so be it!!!!!!

I like the idea of blinds, shades, or maybe even some creepy looking poster  but I stay away from obviously messing with the camera, IE continous laser, defaceing property, etc..

Trevors got good advice ^^^

If you went with dummy camera I would put one up facing his with a tripod :D

I must say this is the best welcome thread I've ever read:)

Welcome to the forum:wave:

Now as for your neighbors problem... ideas above seem excellent. What you decide is on you, but personally I'd buy a cheap red laser pointer and a powerful IR laser. Use the red laser for targeting;)

If these cameras are "fancy" enough your neighbor will tire of replacing them pretty fast:whistle:

Of course any powerful laser would do... but might be a good idea to not be recorded by the cameras.

Set up a camera (even a dummy camera) pointing at his
windows...
If it is illegal he will call the cops...

Also love that idea... the dummy cameras can be very cheap. Buy a bunch, train on him, and for his added pleasure, whenever he comes out of the house run out and take pictures with the flash on max:eg: (Not sure how legal it is to take someone's picture on public property (or publicly accessible property) so check your local ordinances.)

Plant a couple of trees or bushes.
Or a tall fence.
Or go talk to a lawyer.
Cover your own ass first.
Thats why i hate the city life.

Nope. However if one of your neighbors in Texas asks you to watch his house for a while... and you see anyone suspicious in the neighborhood, than you're in the clear:D
