Hello there,

Nice site, I was reading for the awnser but there are so many hits on this.


What do you specialist think that i should do?


I hope that its not bugging you guys that i dont search, but i dont want to buy crappy or the wrong parts.

You Have a Lot Of reading to do. All that information is here and each subject your asking is addressed in many threads many times over.


mW is Laser Power

nm is what Color the laser is

405 nm Purple UV light <<<<<<<<<<<<At 300 mW this would be the best burner. Get Goggles if your burning things close to your eyes. Especially if they Melt as a shinny melted surface can reflect back easily
445 nm Blue
532 nm Green
650 nm Red

And there is many in between there. Above it and below it you can't see the light with your Eyes.
You Can't just drop in a new "Extra Top". Lasers don't work like that. You have to have a Laser Diode of what nm You Pick, Press it into a heat sink that fits the Host your using. Have a Driver from the battery Running the diode at a Fixed mA setting. And a Lens that also is the right kind for the nm your using, That focus the laser light from the diode into a beam you then can focus and work with.


EDIT: You Also Need Goggles that are the right kind for what laser nm your Using, Other wise read my sig you will get permanent eye damage with 1 accident. These Kind Of Lasers are not Toys and they "Can" be very dangerous.

Personally My Advice is to start out lower like a True 100-150 mW and you can burn things Still needing goggles at close range but it's less dangerous and you can get used to it before you get a really powerful one.

Thank you for the reply's the thing with search is that I need to read two weeks before i maybe have the right awnsers to my question, thats wy i am asking this here, and done't get me wrong guys but isn't this the reason there are fora like this.:)

I hope somewone will give me some help on these matters.

The Forums set up for the Search function**. You didn't read the stickies I think... It wouldn't take long to find that information. Your exaggerating on the 2 weeks...

I answered most of your questions and if you really want to build your own, Honestly I'm not being rude but the search function will show you we have a Huge Wealth of Guides that Walk you step by step and there are lots of them and once again wont take you 2 week i promise ;)


**EDIT: I'm not saying thats all it's for, we do talk a lot and help each other, I'm just saying for what your asking the search is best, (I did answer a ton of your questions I'm not sure what you are still wanting) you need to decide the nm you want and you need to decide your host and there are a ton of build guides that are Awesome and go very step by step, I think you should buy one honestly and get 100-150 mW and you can learn how to practice safety and then get the higher power ones. Get goggle for the nm you pick to for when your burning things, Remember you need the goggle for indoors so you don't have it reflect off something into your eye.

DinoDirect = Chinese drop shipper. You get what you pay for.

I doubt it's actually 1W, but blue 445/447's are hard to mess up...

You're better of spending a little more on one of the builds being sold here.

BTW, this laser is not a toy. You will need goggles for it. You can VERY easily blind yourself or someone else with it.

I did read a few hours a day for "like 2 weeks" and was able to complete my first build without asking questions that have been answered hundreds of time before. And I had no previous knowledge of electronics or lasers so it can be done. Most here don't like to spoon feed.

Hey,

i think that most of you have to much spare time, i mean who the hell is going to read posts from kids days before they buy a laser?
I didnt even do that when i bought a new car, sorry but i think that a forum is a place for people to ask, remarks like use the search button, than you can remove the post and reply function and close it for all comments begause its all bin sad.

Remarks like its not a toy are also great, what the hell is it than? dont tell me that you guys are all mounten climbers or use it for astronomy sorry but most of you ar alone with you goggles in your starwars room making wise comments to people like me.

The only reason that i need a laser is begause i want to get rid of birds, i supose you'r all against that as well ........well now you know hehehe.

Everybody thank you for the info, i made a order at Gary from Survival-Lasers it looks like he sels the real and quality powerfull no-nonsense laser i am looking for.

I will give a review when i have it.

First off, what makes you all so deserving to think you have the right to ask the same questions that have been answered hunderds of times before, without even bothering to look around a bit for the answers. You seem to EXPECT that we should just cater to you and and answer your questions again, becuase you can't be bothered to spend any of your precious time trying to find them yourself? Think again!

Your comment about if its not a toy what is it? showed that you have no clue! A high powered laser is capable of blinding a person in milliseconds, should a toy be able to do that?

Your comment about most of us being alone in our starwars room, because we didn't bow down and cater to your stupidity tells us just how much respect you have for the very people you are asking for help from! Why in the hell would any of us help you now?

Your comment about us being a bunch of loser kids in your auction thread, reinforces the above and shows that you are the kid, throwing a temper tantrum because things didn't go the way you wanted them to.

I hope Garoq sees this post and figures out that its you trying to buy a laser, because if he does I seriously doubt he will sell it to you.
