Hello everyone, my name is Devon and I'm from Canada, Ontario. I'm 13 years old and I'm a complete N00b to lasers and electronics. I've learned some stuff here from different forums and it's quite intereting.

My other hobbies are carnivorous plants, and a bit of reptiles. I also love photography.

I should be ordering my first laser today. It's a red 200mW waterfproof laser with adjustable focus. I'm very exited. I want to go in the pool with it and shine it in the sky and stuff, lol. :p I'm also getting safety goggles.

Bye...

Welcome, on board and its nice that you bought safety glasses.
Lasers aren"t toys, threat them like firearms.

Hello!
Yeah like Ranged said... WEAR the safety glasses
especially when you are shining around the water
and also make sure you don't hit anyone else with the reflexions of the beam
Be safe & enjoy the laser

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. :)

I'll always be wearing goggles when in use.

And of coarse I want to point it into the sky, I will just make sure there are not flying objects as ranged said.

I haven't purchased the laser yet, but I think I'll be buying it from Rayfoss.

Welcome, I grew up in Ontario - Oshawa to be exact (even did some time in the General Motors salt-mines :p). Anyway, please set a good example for others and use your new laser with safety in mind. Right now we have a lot of freedom in Canada with respect to lasers, and we're all going to have to do our best to keep it that way.

Again, welcome

Dave
