Look, this unit was just something to give Probeam until I could assemble his meter. This is my prototype unit and was never designed or build for someone to use. I fully intended to send his other unit when I was done building it, however I am waiting for the enclosures to arrive. He was getting impatient for a meter and this probably wasn't teh best way of going about it. Nor did I communicate with him that the true meter would be following this temporary unit.

I did not tell this to CDbeam777 because I've been out of town looking for a job and securing housing. I had extremely limited access to the internet and not enough time to explain to him that this was just to tide him over until I could get the true unit intended for him out.

As to the hot glue, if you can find another means of securing the lcd in place that holds it at the precise depth required and isn't going to put me out a ton more, or doesn't require screwing through the plastic, then I will use it. There is NOTHING wrong with hot glue used in electronics if it's in small amounts *(which this one wasn't since it was the prototype)

I will take the heat for this poorly constructed meter. As I said, it was not intended as a final build for him. One other customer also received a meter with some obvious defects on the outside, but I asked him clearly if he was ok with it or if he wanted to wait for a replacement enclosure. It truly is my intention to build this meter SOLID. Not like my past builds that Jerry has seen. Utilizing shrink wrapping on bare wires, no electrical tape holding parts together or huge wads of hot glue all over the place.

In the meantime, cdbeam, I encourage you to use the meter sent to you until you can receive the meter I truly intended for you. Once you do I encourage you to tear into it and see that I can and will be assembling a much better looking meter not just on the outside. I had forgotten that I had sent you the prototype when I asked you to review it.

Here is an example of the wiring on another meter that was the second one built.. better. Still not where I want it to be, but better.

Hey Kenom....

I know I'm a competitor but this has nothing to do with that...
we've been amicable selling our products here..

BUT as to this thread...

I call BS...

It seems that you even asked CBB to do a Review knowing that he
had that exact "pototype" meter.... Why would you do that if you really
were going to send him a New meter...
Sound like the kids here stating "my brother did it" or "it was a test..
I'm not buying it..

And if this is your prototype then you must have tested it to all
extremes and possibilities as we do with prototypes...
How do you explain that your prototype has the function keys still
wired in reverse...

There is absolutely something wrong installing replaceable parts with
Hot Glue.... Didn't you think of how to replace defective parts in the
future if it should arise... You can't expect a customer to throw it
away and buy another one for $400.00 because a $20.00 LCD has
gone bad...

The picture means nothing what is important is what the
customer has in his hands..
.

Like I said Kenom... sorry... but I call BS...
I feel you're trying to pull the wool over our eyes....:tsk:

Really.. NOT A PRO?!?! WHAT'S THAT LCD DOING UNDER THERE HUH!?>!?!?

The parts aren't meant to be USER REPLACEABLE.. DUH.. hence the big ass freaking sticker that says WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED.

I do warranty repair on all my meters. I fix them not users. I've gotten very good at removing my own hot glue mess and don't expect the end user to repair them. I'ts not their job. They pay for a product and I stand by them. End of story. This one was not meant to go out. Plain and simple. Believe it or don't.

regardless, cdbeam777 has another meter that will arrive to him and will be a lot better than this one, it will function with the correct buttons, it will not have wires all over the place, it will have a battery enclosure as well as a on/off button, it will include a postage paid label to return the other meter to me.

OOPs I made a mistake, I sent out a unit I didn't want reviewed then got grilled because I asked him to review a unit I forgot who I sent it to, I didn't communicate to him that this unit was not the unit he was meant to have, but to tide him over, primarily because those wires kept poppin off all the doggone time.

Will I make it right by him? YES! if he'll let me. Sorry CDbeam777. I should have communicated with you.

However you and nospin are going to do everything in your power to rub my nose in this mistake and punish me for it. ONe less competitor.

Oh and why would I ask for reviews? Because it's a new product. It's the only means I have right now of being able to make ends meet, people need to see what a good product it is (other than the obvious inferior prototype) and I truly had forgotten I'd sent this one to him specifically.

Then you shouldn't have sent it out... Plain and simple but I guess
it was a way of dumping unwanted stock..
Who knew the damn thing would conk out...

So after the warrantee is over and I want to repair it myself
I'll need to send it back to you because you have those Hot Glue
removal skills...

I don't think so.........

That's enough Lasersbee, you've gone far enough in crushing the competition. CDBEAM will be getting a replacement unit. It is not "getting rid of unwanted stock". I would've been just as pissed if I had received that unit.

I see the Neg Rep you gave me MM... very professional.. Like the
PRO that CBB got..

Yeah.... you can count on me listening to someone like you now...
Your team just needs to learn to build something professionally before
you put that "Professional" label on it...IMO

You mean the neg rep for pasting this review on LE to destroy competition in as many places as possible?
And then leave me retaliatory negative reputation?

And then you say that I am unprofessional?

You seem hell bent on ramming this project into the ground.

Well, it's up to cdbeam at this point. Will he take the replacement unit or not. I will stand by him, if he'll stand by me.

You did that to yourselves by pawning off that PRO to an unsuspecting
new member here....

Have you heard the expression .... "What goes around comes around"
Why wasn't his issue fixed before he posted his review... it seems Kenom
didn't want to fix even the dust problem by sending him a new overlay...

oh see now that's just low. Lets post it on the anti-kenom forum. The one that has warned everyone from donating to me because I'm lying and something else is going on behind the scenes?

Why is it the anti-kenom forum? Because I wouldn't be timelords friend. Awww.

"Pawning off"? "New member?" Neither of these statements are true. CDBEAM is from PL and is hardly a new member, but then I bet you already knew that.

A complete replacement unit is already in order and is up to CDBEAM if he wants it or not.

Your actions on LE show exactly what kind of person you are, you will do anything in your power to prevent sales of these meters.

Yeah... I checked his profile here...
CBB has 6 posts to his name and has only been registered since Feb on LPF...
I don't care it he was a member of the KKK for 10 years... He's a new member
here...

Since you brought it up....

Oh... thought I didn't see it today...
Looks like Red/Green LaserBee Bashing to me....

Is there anything not true in that chart? If so I will change it immediately. Comparing features is not even in the same universe as the things you've shown in this thread and on LE.

Many of your sales threads for your own meters use wording that is specific to demean Kenometers.

So where are all the other Hobbyist LPMs on that chart...
I didn't just fall off the turnip truck...
You have specifically singled out our products...:tsk:

Maybe we should be flattered that you think were are your
only competition...

Not to worry.... We have a fix....
Try to remember the goes around comes around thing...

What other hobbyist meters? The only other one is nospin's which has only recently come up. Anything else is not manufactured by the hobbyist community. Correct me if I am wrong.

What other hobbyist lpm's??.. Until just recently, there were no others. Just recently seen the addition of nospin's meter.

Look we can do this pissing match all year and what does it solve? Not a goddamn thing, cept prove that we can be vindictive and spiteful. Lashing out at others to no purpose. I personally refuse to participate any longer.

The call has been made out to CDbeam777. I've offered to fix the issues. As far as I'm concerned that finishes it provided that he takes me up on the offer. I've told him I will make it right and I fully intend to do so and show him that this one meter is not an indication of the full product run and is just one isolated event.

/participation unless directly questioned by anyone other than those fighting.
