If you're after 1mW and nothing more, there are quite a few 1mW greens lying around ebay and I don't see why they would let you buy seeing as though they are legal. However, customs in Australia now test lasers for their output, so if it's just 0.5mW too high they WILL confiscate it.
However, if you are fine with OVER 1mW then I recommend putting together your own. It's as simple as buying a module, buying a host that will fit the module and then just putting them together (and getting a pair of laser goggles of course). A $20 budget does make that hard though..

wait, if you buy an o-like module and ship it in to Aus, they won't confiscate it?

If so, yeah you can get a good powerful laser into Australia.

^ Yeah o-like modules of any power are fine to ship to Australia. It is only handhelds over 1mW that are banned.

Yeah...I was completely broke and needed cash for something so I was willing to let go a 1mW CNI Black/Gold for $15...it didn't sell surprisingly so I kept it and I am kind of glad I still have it.

It's possible to set the power lower than 1mW from a 200mW laser module driver.
i'm not sure they allow you import this or not, this is just my idea.

Not exactly. All diodes have a minimum lasing current. For example, the PHR-803T will not produce light at currents less than 40mA.

Thanks for the information.
I've tried to set my DPSS 532nm 200mW become extremely small Green spot, and so, i believed that it must be below 1mW.

Well, this is what i experienced from my 200mW laser, however, i cannot guarantee another cases, it might just be an individual case that i thought.

Regards.

Laser pointers green green laser repair high powered pointers divers lazer modules price telescope astronomy

Australain astronomy website.
I just ordered a 1mW green laser from them (beam visible)
Wow. That site is like 4x more expensive than buying direct from China, but I guess you are (essentially) paying the guy to smuggle them in to your country, and that is expen$ive.
$42-$80 for a 5mW?
I think Rayfoss or Laserlands would be a better bet.
Only $12 and they will surely ship to Aus.

yeah, but are they good quality ???
I just received my 1mW green laser from the astronomy site and it is weighty and good quality.
the beam is visible outside (night) and a dark room.
It also comes with 2 AAA batteries and a solid case.
It took ten days to arrive and it costed $80 AUD
