So Air Force week is this week & its hosted in Salt Lake. Yesterday they were doing some very low fly by's right over my house. so i stood on the roof & took some pix. They kept going in circles like they were burning extra fuel or something.. It was the noise that caught my attention in the first place. They were Very loud. I thought it was pretty cool though. some of the pix are with no zoom.

thought i would share

Probably testing to see how the public will respond to jets that are flying low.

The fighters are F-16s, and the Air Force still flies them plenty. F-16s are even still the plane used by the Thunderbirds.

The transport looks kinda like a C-135 (or KC-135, if it's the mid-air refueling version), but I could be wrong.

Is that AIR FORCE ONE!? :p

Hey, one of them could be, since whatever plane the POTUS is on is designated as Air Force One. But I don't think Obama has been in Utah recently.

Yep those are definitely F-16s. Such a beautiful very unique design. That or the modified Japanese version (forgot name), but I doubt the Japanese were doing tests Utah. :tinfoil:

Thats a KC-135, you can see the boom in the first pic. I used to work on them at Castle AFB in CA.
