Lago, till you find out as to what this green laser you ordered has for diode do NOT try 2 16340 battery's.
If you bought the green laser Thor?? because you couldn't afford the blue laser than it's most likely a 532nm DPSS and these 532's only use 1 cell at 3.7V to 4.2V. If you use 2 cells you will kill it.
I cannot see the one you bought being a 520nm diode as these 520 units are usually more money than the 445nm blues.
Any more info you can give will help..
The green takes an 18650.
Don't k now what the OP is talking about or what Country he is in or exactly what laser or who the seller is in what marketplace--eBay or otherwise?

532nm lasers have not ever been marketed under the Thor name--all green output laser have been 520nm Thor models.

Thor H series currently offered by the guy who created the Thor name and all Thor series are as follows:
520nm 100mW @ $45
450nm 1.6W @ $45 + $10 additional or 3000mW at $45 + $30 additional
According to his web site, the above 3 take 2 X 16340 batteries.

They used to offer a 650nm 100mW that took a 18650 but it is no longer offered and the also a 50mW 520nm green no longer offered.
See Thor H series info and offers by original Thor guy.
(Removed link because my post count is too low)
My bad. I wasn't sure if it was a the or not anyways, I am just looking at the picture and sorta guessing, which is why I said that I was guessing

Sorry everybody for any confusion I may have caused. The page that I sent a pic from and was talking about was quite vague and fairly confusing.

Thanks to all of you for your replies. I am still getting the hang of this whole thing.

Lago, no need to be sorry:)
It is very confusing the way they label them;)
If it takes a single 18650, then is most likely a 532nm.

Alright, so I ordered a blue one as well. On this particular one, in the item title it says 14500, and the description says 16340 and the first picture it shows has 16340 as well. Even more fun and confusion for the masses. I should probably have just saved and bought from a reputable source, but I am impatient and love clicking that purchase button. I sincerely hope it works/doesn't suck.

:)Yup Lago, it is a very addictive hobby.
Another misleading advertisement about the 14500 battery. Being a blue laser it most likely takes the 2 "16340"s. Guessing it will do 1W but probably advertised as alot more.
It has the "potential" to last, just watch a good duty cycle of no more than 30 or 40 seconds on and 60 seconds off.
Did you get safety glasses? If this one comes with the generic red lensed pair, I would test those glasses on one of the side lens first.
You should really upgrade to a pair of "Eagles" as soon as you can afford them.

Oops never mind I see you bought a pair of Eagles but its still good to have a extra backup pair for friends, so test the generics if it came with them anyways.

Thanks a bunch bud. . . QUITE addicting. Lol
I do indeed have a pair of Eagles. I dont think the option of the laser I chose came with glasses, but I figure that the ones that are advertised as coming with many of these lasers probably isn't the best, but I'd like another pair of cheap( but effective) pair so I can protect a friend's eyes while they are over and I'm lasing about.
The Wish posts rarely/never show the watts/milliwatts for some reason.

Sorry to double post, but here is a photo of the 532nm one that is coming, does anybody have experience with these or one similar? I would like to know the possible output and maybe who/what brand this may or may not be a knock off of? It looks like the thor or Spyder knock-off except the shell is chrome, beam is 532nm and takes a single 18650 as opposed to a 16340. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Again, sorry for the double post and noobie questions, I just want to figure out more about it.

Sorry for the wet noodle beating from the other members, just ignore him.

If that is the one you bought from Wish, it's the most generic, cheap unbranded knockoff you can get. I can pretty much guarantee it's about 100mW. If you take a picture of the dot in a dimly lit room when you get it, I can tell you more accurately.
Cheers!

Ps, it's not double posting since it's almost a week apart 😉

No wet noodle beatings here. No offense taken. I already said, if someone needs to put me in my place then so be it. However, I haven't noticed anyone being particularly rude to me or anything.
When I receive it I will definitely try and get a photo of the dot. Thanks a bunch for the info! I have a 450nm coming from a different seller as well(shown somewhere earlier in the thread)

While you can get a very rough estimate, judging a lasers power through means of a picture is not going to be very accurate. Different light settings and cameras used can give the impression of a lasers power that it really isn’t.

The best way would be by means of an LPM, but if that isn’t available user “styropyro” created a YouTube video where he demonstrates what different powered 532 lasers can accomplish. Perhaps it would be worth a see. :)

Yeah, I totally agree cameras can be deceiving. Although, these generic Chinese ones come in only two or three power levels in existence, with a pretty large gap in between them. That's why using deductive reasoning, one can almost guarantee which of those power levels it is. :)

Of course you can't measure the power to the mW by just looking at it, but depending on the price the OP paid, it should be either a 1W or 100mW model, so the difference should be pretty noticeable :)
