It would probably be more cost effective to buy BDR-209 laser diodes and build an array.......Just my 2 pennies

Ordered the driver GH04W10A2GC 405nm combo. Many many thanks to DTRS again. Just used S4X host and two 18650s. Built this for my wife. Photos don't do it justice but I'll try. The beam profile is beautiful compared to my 450nm nubm44 v2 7w(which is flat). It's coming in at a good 1.1W with my meter but seems to burn better then my 1.5w 445nm I have so must be a wavelength thing. With both the g8 lense and 3 element lense from DTRS the beam is just really nice with this diode. Wife was estatic about it...she wanted I quote, a purple laser that burns stuff...well violet at 405nm is in my opinoon the most beautiful laser I've ever seen and burns just fine. We keep the duty cycle under 60seconds but the S4X host with the 20mm copper/aluminum module doesn't get even slightly warm. So many thanks to DTRS laser shop and Survival Lasers!
I'm using the camera on my galaxy and the beam comes out blue. Trust me the 405nm is a pure full on violet! I knew photos just wouldn't do it justice.

So glad it turned out good and she liked it.🍺

Don't often see the "gift for wife" laser build which I thought was awesome. Most the time I hear about the wife or significant other it is they don't want them to find. Lot of times asking if there is a payment option to not have it show up on a bank or CC statement like they are trying to hide a gambling addiction.🤫

Look forward to seeing the pictures. You guys enjoy and be safe.😉

Hiya, yeah just uploaded photos above but my galaxy camera just shows it as blue more then 405nm violet. My wife is very supportive of my hobbies and was a bit jealous when I built my 450nm 7w. I have a used meter and am getting 1.1W plus but like it reads it burns nicer then a 1.5W 445nm I have. The beam is just perfection itself. So many thanks to you! Now what wavelength to build next? ...
Below is my 450nm 7w and my wife's 1.1W plus 405nm...
I only have batteries for one at a time and just ordered two more 18650s so I can do side by side beam shots but I am going to try my digital camera since my galaxy doesn't seem to pick up violet 405nm well...

If you are ordering from DTR, how about something like this? It's beautiful, and definitely an attention getter. :)

Edit: If you just want a super looking wavelength, and aren't too interested in power or burning, the example below is my favorite choice.

That cyan looks interesting. Max Vs are 6, I've been using two 3.7 18650s...think that would be ok? For Christmas I've decided to build a red and green together! Thanks for the links to DTRS, he's a great guy! Also, it's neat to burn stuff...hehe... but I'm coming to appreciate beam profile a lot more then raw power. Thanks again tho!

Where did you find your wife??? Rare species indeed!!! Im probably one of the guys who DTR said needs stuff hidden like a gambling addiction. Good thing about DTR is how fast his shipping is. Two days to Maryland from pulling the trigger.

Anyway, just bought this diode and will use a flex drive v5 in a single 18650 coleman host.

Speaking of 18650s.. Recently hit the jackpot with 400(yes 400) 3200mAh 10C Panasonic and LG MH1 cells. The dockless scooter craze is great for us nerds. Got a hookup for one of the big name rental companies. He puts aside packs foe me that are good but scooter was broken beyond repair. Most have a few(5 max) charge-discharge cycles.

Are you interested in selling some packs? I need to build an ebike battery myself

Im using this diode with a microflex v5. A very good single cell lion powering. Is this an optimal setup? Divergence and beam is surprisingly good for multimode just doesn't have the power behind it as the BDR209 has. No laser power meter to test, just my subjective observation.

I have purchased several of those Panasonic cells new. If the ones you got are fairly new, they could be very good still. It really depends on how much they have been used so far.

You wouldn't happen to know what their average capacity is do you?
