Good morning everyone,

I am posting here to see if anyone could custom machine me a module. I have attached a hand drawn diagram of what I would need done. If it in unclear please let me know so that I can fix it. I am currently working on a cad model for it but I am learning it from scratch and I'm slow :p

Thanks guys,
Daniel

Edit: forgot to mention, copper would be the ideal material but aluminum or brass would work too.

What are you building? Maybe there are other options.

This is going into a sanwu pocket series host. I'm trying to squeeze a 9mm diode in there. There are other options but I haven't found any that would be this small with enough heat dissipation. the duty cycle is already going to be 15s on 60s off.

Awesome! what do you think it would cost and when do you think I will receive it? I can pay a bit extra for a rush job since I only have a week to get this build done.
Please contact Lifetime17, he can make, sure
Because i from Vietnam, maybe cost is 7$,but shipping fast is 20$,very expensive

I've got a build similar to this on the back-burner but with a couple of differences - I'm using a low powered diode as most 9mm diodes will not be able to be run from a 10440/10280 cell for long... but I am using a standard 12mm copper module from DTR "turned" down to fit the host. I've not got a lathe so a battery drill and files/sandpaper had to stand in - but it's fits up. Now all I've got to do is figure out how to press a diode in straight as I managed to butcher the threads on the module and my diode pressing tool is no good for it now.

This one is kind of a novelty, I'm putting an NDG7475 at 900ma in there. I'm sure I will only get 10 mins or so of on tine but my duty cycle will stretch that out :p. I was considering using a turned down DTR module as well but I need all the metal I can get in there to absorb the massive heat from the diode and pass it to the host. I sm still trying to think of how I will press my diode in.

True - I'd almost want a single piece module/host for that to best get the heat into the outside of it...

I couldn't find anyone who would make one as small as the pocket. This just seems like the best bet. I'm going to put some thermal compound on the threads to make sure good contact is made.
