Hi
For birds get the bird bombs what they are is a small pistol and you use 22 cal CB caps to fire a 17 mm rocket 60 ft into the air and it has a loud report

Rich
Welcome @wattsup I used to have a custom made bird bomber i bought at a gun show, it was made on a lathe. The spring eventually failed. those ones you can buy now are expensive and in some cases regulated by law. I used to love them. Now I just put big firecrackers in my Wrist Rocket Slingshot. I have a pond with Great Blue Heron nuisance. Lasers are not for the birds, Thats really watts up. My Ducks and chickens liked to chase the beam tho and I stopped because of incidental contact. Bottle rockets or other noise makers. My Great Pyrenees dogs chase off Hawks, Buzzards, and Blue Herons...and Foxes.
water based deterrent. probably frowned om for wasting water in California PS I LOve Laguna Beach
Maybe they could put Hummingbird feeders instead, they poop smaller, I have them, they are like totally awesome.

Tell me why.
well in my short tenure here i saw that we are not supposed to point lasers directly at any living creature, aircraft and law enforcement ( I actually learned that from an incident at Ocean City Maryland that I witnessed) It could damage their eyes. I have been a bird watcher most of my life. and yes I feed the little poop machines myself haha. Those pesky Sparrows are not going away no matter what we do. I have pointed a laser at those Sparrows general direction scarfing up my duck and chicken food, but realized its 'pointless' as they returned soon as I went back in the house. Not a Sermon, Just a thought.

Wonder if piezo ultrasonics might work. 22khz or so. Random pulses every 20 sec- min or so. Maybe a motion sensor to fire it? No one but dogs would hear it. It's directional too.

Now some missile tech to incinerate the poop as it falls would be cool. Track and burn with a 100w co2 tube. By the time it got any appreciable distance away it would disperse the energy.

Motion sensor. 3d triangulation with the old polaroid distance sensors. Servos to move it and bang. I am kidding. The piezo might actually work however.

I had something similar to that but it was pretty useless with bird deterrance.

My parents used to have a mouse problem in their garage - they bought a ultrasonic sounder that plugged straight into a mains outlet in the garage, and we have never seen a mouse in there since (about 9 years). Not sure if it'd do much for birds as you said

Maybe some Positive Energy Orgone would work?
