I’m looking for a LD driver that has mode fuctions. Strobe and high is what I’m interested in. But any/all LD drivers that had the mode fuctions I’d be interested in. If those are not to be had. Was wondering if anybody might know of any LED drivers that might not be to hard on the diode(s). I’m interested in 3-5 amp driver(s) planning on use the n465 in a build. Thanks for your time.

ooooohhh, another build, awesome.
Looks like both museums will have new exhibits soon.
I can't help with info but I just double checked and my MX900 hosts that I bought from Ricker recently has those functions.
Can that be of any help buddy?
If you want one I can send you one if it's any help.

Thanks, You’ve got some real beauty’s in the works yourself. Yep, an increase in our stock

This ones gonna be special/different/cool and all that neat stuff. :D it’s going to do something different and I ain’t telling :na:

No you don’t need to send it, but if you could, take a picture of it (both sides) and maybe any numbers you see on it. That might be a great help. Thanks !

I can't wait to see someone build a laser with that driver. I'm thinking of setting up a dead pool on it.

i have tried this driver in the past myself and althought it doesn't note anywhere that is a multimode driver it actually is and didn't use it for that reason,it had 3 or 4 modes if i remember correctly and the output was around 4A in my case on the high mode,it did had strobe but i think it wasn't up to 4A on this mode.i can't really guarantee the quality and safety of the diode im just sharing what i know :)

Thanks deadshadow, for under 10bucks it’s worth a look/see. It just might be what we’re looking for. I’m flexible about how many amps I need, anywhere from 3-4 would work just fine. Thanks again. :)

Edit; just emailed them for some more info on the driver. Thanks for the heads-up.

I don't have a "stand" on using LED drivers for high power laser diodes. That is like saying there is an opinion and opinions matter somehow in electronics. Believe me, they don't. If you want to use this driver on a high power laser diode, then do it. I am interested in how well it works and for how long before the diode needs to be replaced.

Hey, Bob. I asked Podo once about sanwu releasing drivers for sale. And am waiting for a response. He asked me what current range I was interested in and would get back to me on it.... I re-asked today. Busy guy, maybe you’d have better luck asking him:D

Great minds think alike. I sent him one already asking the same thing. Keeping our fingers crossed. Here’s to hoping for a positive response. :)

Also sent one to JL just to see? You never know? :)

no problem :) i don't think the chinese sellers know anything about the drivers they are selling as in my case i opened a case after recieved the driver because it suposed to be constant current without any modes, the seller asked me what diode i used and replied "nubm07",he replied back ands said thats why this happend and the driver supposed to work only for ndb7a75
i got my money back after that and the driver still sitting somewhere.
i remember that it was a buck driver,as you said for 10 bucks you can try it yourself if it covers your needs :)

For 8.99 and free shipping, think it’s worth a try. I’ve spend more money than that on a Subway sandwich. Thanks again for the link. She’s worth a shot. :)

you can contact PoDo or ricktrent-i am sure he have

Didn’t even think about Rick. Thanks for the reminder, he too is worth a knock on the door. Thanks trinh! :)
