1kW Laser for cheap - worth buying?

I found an interesting offer on my local auctioning site. Can anyone tell me what the hell is this and is it worth buying (for like 150$) - only things specified are: this is a laser, and it has over 1kW output power (no wavelength info). If diodes don't work (which I assume is true, too cheap for this power), are other goodies inside worth the price? Need fast answer guys, here are the photos

Probably not a diode inside but maybe some gas laser or ruby. Would love to hear what members here have to say. Nice find.

Imho its a diode stack, cause its made by dilas. Also the operating voltage (42V per stack) is consistent with 20 IR diode bars in series. I am almost certain the diodes are shot though. What else I can expect inside?

Would be great if we could read what is on the labels inside the case. Do you have any other photos of it out of the foam enclosure?

For $150 bux? Do it! Gotta be some good power supplies and optics even if the diodes are toast. Should even be a good closed loop cooling solution in there too.

Looks like just a head so half of that stuff wouldn't even be in there...

Oh, well if I saw that in my local surplus shop I think I might just bite anyway. Even if I had to build a power supply and a cooling loop it would be a fun challenge. I'm still kicking myself over passing on that surgilase they had for a few days. All that 594..........

Okay, I might bite that offer. But first I'd like to ask some guru an important question:

I know this is a diode laser, no doubt. However - how big is a chance that I will find inside 808nm type emitters (and maybe a nice YAG rod too), no matter the mount/case style? What is more probable in this class of equipement: 808nm diodes or some useless wavelength like 830 or 860 for example?

Why don't you ask the manufacturer DILAS what it is? specs wavelength what application it is used in etc
Daydreams about chances are just that and meaningless.

Email the pictures to them and ask for help identifying it.

Get some more details about it from the seller perhaps.

I'd buy it for that amount of money, but I have a bad habit of buying stuff like that which are still sitting waiting for me to get to them.

For such high powers id guess its in the 9xx nm range ,
