This comes as no surprise to me. I had a feeling something was up when he posted those links to suppliers of these diodes at prices that no one could match. I still hope evans965 gets his money back. :undecided:

317718 u said u was going to send me a refund u have not yet but in 3 weeks im going to do a credit card fraud on you so i will get it back no matter what i will leave it up to you the easy way or the hard way on a credit card fraud case u will have to pay more fees than just the money back to me just send me my £56.61 gbp back and thats the end of it.

I suggest you to do credit fraud statement against him, I have "Isaac" school email address, and this can be solved quickly by law enforcement..

for a credit card dispute there is a £100 gbp charge on top of what they owe me something like that dont know how someone can just take money from someone and not pay it back.

Criminals, bandits, scammers, and shifty gray area operators/con men, up to no good individuals, exist in every Country and culture, unfortunately a fact of life

I have done this before and even with a judgement you still have to get the money away from them. I never got my money, even after getting a judgement and going after them for it. Maybe things have changed if you can prove fraud, but that is not as easy as it sounds.

Credit card purchases in UK are a bit different than the US Civil contract lawsuit and judgement situation in the USA. There are stronger laws and protections in for goods not delivered credit card cases, commonly purchases costing £100 or less, paid for with a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card, can be reimbursed using chargeback if the items ordered don't arrive, are damaged, look different from the description or the firm selling them goes bust.

Many Credit cards offer protections in USA also.

Yes, I have several major credit cards and all of them offer protection against fraud, scams and the like. But, it isn't required by law. Just something they do for their customers.

UK is different--it is a law.
"The UK Consumer Credit Act 1974 is a piece of legislation that means that lenders must be licensed by the Office of Fair Trading.
Section 75 of the act says that license means that lenders are responsible for the credit agreements between traders and individuals.
In essence, it's a fall back: when a cardholder has a claim under legislation like the Sale of Goods Act, section 75 means the card provider has to help.
That means cardholders can claim on items that are:

Not delivered example: a flight booked through an airline that goes bust.
Faulty example: a new TV that doesn't work.
Damaged example: plates bought online that arrive smashed.

Cardholders have a right to be refunded if they make a claim within 6 years (5 in Scotland) and the claim is dependent on the bank, not just the company."

Yeah, I get a good rate, but the way politicians here pass laws, they make it harder on the consumer and protect the banks and financial institutions. In fact, they have been chipping away at Dodd Frank, the law that tried to keep investment banks from using depositors money for what can only be called gambling. It made them keep the leveraging of money at a certain point, but I'm not sure that it is still the law here. It really is a shame, if you are a consumer.

Did he pay with paypal ? If so was it a FF payment or payment for goods and services ?
