Very nice flashlight build, Tero. I was hoping to see a beam shot, but seeing the host is almost as good. I like the lighter blue color of the 462nm diodes.

:gj: I see you have a pocket for a BE, very nice, also I like the side by side battery configuration, I have been thinking about that and the 3 cell holder that gives you 3 x 18650's in series without the long host.

Oscar is one smart cat, he's on the operating side of those lasers, rather than chasing that damn dot around! :D

SGD, be sure and remind Oscar that enjoying Jack Daniels and using lasers don't mix!

The Auroras finally gave us Yellowknifers a good show tonight!

Images may be a little large but I'm not shrinking them anymore, I've already reduced the resolution from 5184x2912 to 1280x720. If you're having trouble with the size here's a >>link to the album<< (and the >>second one<< because I messed up), it should resize to fit your screen.

I love them, diachi. I sure wish I could see an aurora here some night, but that may very well remain an unfulfilled wish.

Thanks guys! :)

Nice shots diachi!!

Thanks! Going to need to save up and buy a DSLR at some point, if that's how they turn out with a little compact, they'd be fantastic with a DSLR!

How've the lights been on your side of the planet? Any improvement? Last night was the best I've seen all winter.

Nope, and if the forecast has been good there has been cloudcover on this winter..
I check the forecast daily (in high hope) :can:

EDIT
As you can see there's great possibilities to see them ATM but those damn clouds are blocking the sight

Yup, we've had the same issues with the clouds on the rare occasion we've had a good aurora forecast. Been that way for most astronomical events this year.

At least there's still a month or two where it'll be dark enough to see them, fingers crossed!

Yeah, government & companies are forced to make to solution for that to keep travelers satisfied

They offer flights above the cloudcover :D :D

For real? That might be something they could look into here. Might boost tourism some! We get loads of tourists from Asia, I imagine it's similar on your side of the pond.

Here is my tactical lamp. It is absolutely ugly, but I have grown to like it over time. The original body broke and I needed a lamp so it has stayed.
