What is your internet connection speed?

Usually you do annual plans with monthly payments. Depending on the company and what they offer then you can get TV, Broadband and Telephone and then pay for line rental.
Currently the fastest fibre plan I can find is £35 per month + Telephone and a setup cost of £20. So I would be looking at £440 per year just for internet, as I barely use the telephone.

And with £ 440 a year, what are the speeds offered?

Up to 200mb/s. But I don't think my lines actually support that type of speed.

Unfortunately i'm at the mercy of Comcast's monopoly as it the only TV and I believe internet service available in my building. Verizon might offer a home phone, but no dish setup's allowed:(
I pay $190 a month for the HD extended cable and movie package, with the added internet and phone line "which I don't ever use or even remember the number"?
The just extended basic TV package is $160:can: so of course they get you to go all out with what I have now:whistle:
Mind you i'm also on a 2 year deal and I always tend to forget and end up getting hit with a whopper of a build when its expires.
Probably once a week i'm on the Comcast hot line with some type of service issue or also going to their local branch to exchange the box or remote as they can charge up to $150 for a tech visit.

GSS, they are all cheaters and bastards!
Pay for a contract thing and then find another!
From us in Italy fortunately there is the "free market" from January 1st, 2017 so one can choose to offer more and at the most advantageous price!

Oh, can't complain at all. I thought we had it bad with prices and service. You might be getting better internet, but you are sure paying for it. :yabbem:

There's really nothing I can do with the obvious corruption except move..
I also don't want piss them off enough that they just shut me off. Good example would be was for 3 months I was paying for DVR setup but the box the technition installed didn't support it and they never gave me back any credit and quite rudely re buffed me..
Oh my $190 bill was supposed to be $175 but they always come up with some type of tax??
Sorry to get off track of the thread:eek:

Not a good deal there GSS. Not great at all. :yabbmad:

3D, I don't know what max I could theoretically get, but I very much doubt it would be 200Mb/s.

We pay £35 a month on a deal over a 18 month contract for phone / line rental and fibre that's currently at 68Mb/s Down , 20Mb/s Up from BT

That's not too bad. To be honest, anything faster than what I currently have would be an improvement.

Oh man, I feel sorry for any of their customers.

If I remember correctly we were with them and they were terrible. Then we switched to Orange for our home internet. Somehow TalkTalk managed to switch us back over to them without asking? Think we just stuck with them at that point.

Yes. We had a right ordeal with them. Their internet was useless. But the main problem out of many. We kept losing connection and we had to keep phoning up for them to sort it out. In the end we learnt that whenever we phoned up we just got our internet back. They were just cutting people off when they needed to give someone else their service. Will never go back.
