Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the difference in beam visibility using the 6x cyndrilical lens pair? I was shocked when putting the concave and convex back to back at how much brighter the thin rectangular beam was on a 200 mw red laser to a 200 mw green.

Can anyone recommend the best deal on a UV glue kit right now for securing 6x cylinder pairs to a mount?

I think I bought it on amazon but don't see UV604, the formulations vary, medium viscosity lets you move the lenses around well, you want glass to metal and I have used UV604, but there are many, I have done well with 604 * Shake before use *

Do you have a UV flashlight ?

Here's a 3w and a 5W in 365nm that seems to work faster than the 395nm but my 395nm may be a 1w the 395 is less expensive.

405nm works but it seems slower, the 365nm flashlight seems to work well, if you use a 405 laser then try not to use excessive adhesive ( it's ok if you do but the surface may stay tacky for a while yet hard underneath ) and trace over the glued area many times, with the 365 I also pass over the glued area several times, remember to shake the bottle or the surface may stay tacky to the touch for a while with a slight odor, I have a habit of using too much.

It holds really strong once cured, I made a couple videos before ( can't find them ) where I used a 405 for about 20 seconds and it held tight, but I always give it some extra photons, it's not going to hurt the adhesive, glass, or metal.

I see a lot of cheap "5 watt" 365 nm lasers cheap which I don't believe can cost only five dollars, other 3 watt ones which cost over 50 dollars.... Don't know who to believe.

That 3w for 20 dollars works just fine, just spend 30 seconds with the light on the glue, hit it from all angles, it will work just fine. It may grab well in 5 seconds but it won't hurt to give it the photons for 30 seconds to be certain. The 5 dollar lights should work as well, but if you end up going heavy on the glue then the stronger light is good insurance.

I spend time and effort setting up my lenses just right then I just over do it with the UV flashlight, it's not going to hurt anything, I have hit the glue with a 405nm beam and it never burns, it's transparent. Safety glasses as you well know when using the 405nm beam.

Another thing I do is I always set up my lenses without adhesive the 1st time to see that I can get a good alignment before applying the UV adhesive, then apply and align again, I do this with safety glasses on and the laser running, because the alignment is critical, if you glue to the mount ahead of time without the laser on it may not line up, probably wont unless there are machined pockets for the lenses that are an exact fit.
