Disassemble Wicked Lasers E2 host

Well the cap that screws on is screwed off. The part that he uses to leverage the module out is not present on mine. Welcome to the point My E2 appears to be different than the one in the video...

Then the only choice may be to get a piece of metal or plastic tube approx. the internal diameter of the host tube and insert it behind the module, like a battery, and try to push the module out of the front of the unit if possible ---maybe tapping it repeatedly with a small hammer and see if you can loosen it and push it out.

Yeah, gave that a go too, now I have a piece of bubble wrap stuck down in it (used it to brace the electronics from the pushin).

Trust me guys, if it was easy I'd already be there!

I will not be home for another week or so, so I can't not check on this till than. But I could swear I took apart a e2 once and that's just how I did it, tapped it real hard on a work bench with a rod up the battery compartment. And everything popped out the top just like the Nano's. If I'm correct I still have all the parts with my Nano parts. Will check went I get home and post some pics of it is so? If you havn't figured it out by than.

Edit, if you look at the video the black plactic that surrounds and protects the driver can take a bit of force. If memory serves it did take quite a big wallop for the module to break lose. :thinking:

Well, it's a bit of a surprise but I put some fresh batteries in after giving everything a chance to dry out and the damn thing works! I thought for sure I had killed the driver just with the high impact force I used trying to get the crusty battery out!
Very happy as I love the size and power combo of this one and it's not easy to find a replacement for it!

I did check and yes when I took
My E2 apart everything pops out the top. It's the same size modules that are in the Nano's. If you need me to, I can send pics. Let me know?
