Hey you think Podo would do a 400mw pocket 650nm for me if I paid a little extra to him? I don't know why I'm asking you and not him lol.

Amazing man Nice!

good call. TBH I am jealous of sanwu!

She is a little Powerhouse. :D

I think so, if it's doable? Never hurts to ask.

You know, both the Oclaro & the Mits both run on 2-6 volts. So yea, shoot Podo a quick email or pm, you never know. :)

Yeah very true :D I was trying to figure out what 650nm diode could do 400mw besides the lpc826

i really wonder how small these class 4 lasers will get in my lifetime. really after a certain point it would be impractical to go any smaller but it would be really cool to have a keychain 1w greenie :p

To get over 400mw's think the lpc826 is incapable of that type of output. Think the Mitts would be your best choice. Most people prefer the Mitts over the Oclaro. They seem to hold up better and can be pushed harder.

It would be really cool to have a 1 watt green in a key chain, but the 1 watt green as far as I know all have a working voltage of 6.5 -12.0 volts. Can't get that of a single battery. ( boast driver, think it would be impractical, the batteries would burn out, oh, so quick ) heat would also be a problem, the 1 watt greens seem to produce more heat than lets say a 140 run at 1 watt. But maybe in the future? If/when it becomes possible, I'm all on board. :D

we need to invent new batteries! cant be that hard can it?

ill only be interested in new diodes when they make 495 and 573 more affordable :p

It does seem to go, as they invent new things, the old things get cheaper. So we can only hope it says true to form. New diodes are always a good thing. :)
