According to the Specs of the driver... it can output up to 800mA
if the specs ar e not in broken Chinglish and the driver's output is
noise free andstable.
According to the specs of the LD... it can put out about 500-600mW
using a G2 lens.

If you want to get 700mw or more I would suggest that you get a
better (higher current) driver.

Remember.... You get what you pay for.

I would suggest you look an DTR's website for an appropriate driver. He has drivers that have been used my many hundreds of members and have stood the test of time. I believe that diode can take 1.2 amps giving you an output of 1 watt.

I'm using the 1 amp pill driver from Survival for my Oclaro700 and I built it a long time ago and I'm always messing with it and it still runs strong! I'm about to have a meter so I'll finally be able to see what it is outputing, I'm using a cheap little 3E lens so it won't be as high as G2 optics but I guess we'll see

Yeah, on this particular diode, you might not care that the power is less if you can get a small amount of help with the terrible divergence on the slow axis. These diodes are pretty much as bad as the NUBM44.

yes it will work,i tried recently this driver with the mitsubishi p73 and worked great at 820ma max with 1 18650 battery.have in mind that the driver is gonna need heatsink because it goes hot very quick at that current

My unit is fully working. Added heat sink to driver to increase duty cycle.

Thanks for all your replies, much appreciated :thanks:
