Hi,Curtis,
Thank you i enjoy the time i spend on the lathe , so many things go though my thoughts so i have to write them down . Coming is a focus adapter for the 3X BE but will be fitted to the face of the host to eliminate that wobble effect. the lens now holds the weight of the BE and the threads aren't always tight. Also a sink to run straight to the battery tube on the smaller hosts some thing like this but on a smaller scale

No problem, how much do you charge usually?
I will have to keep you in mind, for if I get any unusual diodes in the future. :)

You will be pleasantly surprised:)
I will say he's not into it much for the money:shhh:

Edit: @Curtis, believe me, it really bothers me at times that he doesn't make much or any if at all. It's not that he has some great wholesale places for his stock for example..at least I don't think he does??
He also sends all the extra little things that I might not have to finish a build:)

I had a feeling that was the case, based on his willingness to please his customers. :)
I do hope you make some profit Rich.

Hi
I really enjoy making them for folks and
While I'm doing it I like to put a twist on the current design. I try not to kill them with over pricing. And it all depends on how much time it takes and the material involved.i try to make it affordable

I really like the copper core aluminum heatsinks. Just the right amount of weight on the front and no fussing with tarnished copper.

Hi D,
Glad you like it i thought also the weight of the AL would compensate the CU core. Not to heavy but efficient to sink the diode being used. Check this one out i call it the straight line host.. Side button make the balance feel great with the full CU heat sink. Take 2-18650's And custom focus adapter.

Rich:)

Looks like a bezel less lotus host. Did you thread the ID of the heatsink to screw onto the tube? What's going on there?

Results from the last order. Copper core aluminum heatsink with some nice detail and tidy lines. Repaired copper heatsink with a donor focus knob from spare build. The aluminum one has the gball NUGM01T and the copper one has the gball NUBM06 both powered by 8A blackbuck drivers with 10k 3/4 turn pots in Lotus hosts. Its a tight fit with mm clearances in the bezel between the pots and the driver.

HI D,
WOW Those came out really awesome they are one of a kind builds. The Black bucks are really a nice touch with the external adjustments. And both are G Balls , i like the G Ball diodes also. The CU host has some nice weight to it , you know its CU when you handle it. Great pics to and beam shots...

Oh about the threading on the host Machined and bored out to fit snugly and held in place with a 4-40 set screw drilled and tapped into a groove on the host.

Rich:)
